Harry Potter books in post offices Friday
My UPS guy just told me that the Potter books will be at local post offices on Friday to be delivered on Saturday. He said if I went to the PO before they close on Friday they should be able to deliver it to me then.

Cool. :)

1. I so, so, so hope your UPS guy is right.
I made the mistake of using an Amazon Christmas gift certificate to order my copy, big mistake since the mail to the back-of-beyond can be so-o-o slow, was afraid I'd be lucky to get it next Wednesday. I'll be there at 10 Saturday morning, when the p.o. opens. Love the books, just re-read books 5 & 6 so I'd be ready. And I'm 72.

2. I'm at the end of the UPS route myself
I, too, hope he's right. I spoe with someone at Barnes & Noble yesterday and he told me they were sending everything out early so they could all be delivered on Saturday.

I'm very anxious to start this book. :)

4. Barnes and Noble's online store is faster than Amazon...
The Tesha family are members at both the Amazon/Borders
online store and the Barnes and Noble online store and
there's no question that W.R.T. Harry Potter, Barnes
and Noble was the winner. We ordered it just a few nights
ago and (per the UPS tracking info), our copy of HP&TDH
is already at the UPS center in our town, waiting to be
delivered tomorrow.

All that for a cheap price *AND* free shipping!

By comparison, Amazon/Borders only offers free shipping
if you want your order held in their computers for a few
days and then shipped via a slow boat to and from China;
they obvioulsy want to encourage you to pay for shipping
(either directly or by their "subscribe for a year"
affinity program).

And B&N is bluer, too!

Tesha

5. My post office said the books came in today and would be delivered Saturday
I'm glad I checked because I pick up my mail at the PO and I don't always bother to get it on Saturday. I was expecting UPS to deliver it. Now I know to be sure to go the PO asap tomorrow.

I can't wait!

7. If you are wanting a Harry Potter book this weekend, go to the Airport.
When one of her earlier books came out I was wanting it badly as I was flying to Japan from Kansas city, and wanted one for my 11 year old grandaughter. Lo and behold, the airport had around 30 copies - I felt so sneaky.....and no one noticed, or cared.

9. I loved the packaging from Amazon, which I saw when I got home from work yesterday:
Attention Muggles: Do Not Deliver Or Open Before July 21st!

10. Still Waiting For Mine
I requested it from the library, and they offer home delivery. I thought I would get it yesterday, but am still waiting. Hopefully tomorrow, although I'm worried I'll get sucked into the book and not sleep.
