Rowling names last book in Potter saga
LONDON (Reuters) - J.K. Rowling announced on Thursday that the seventh and final book in her wizard saga will be called "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."

But fans of the series that has already sold an estimated 300 million copies worldwide were kept guessing -- the publication date has not been set.

The intriguing and ominous title had Potter aficionados puzzling over what might happen to the bespectacled hero.

"Will a favourite character die? Could Harry himself face a grisly demise? How will it all end?" asked Sam Harrison, children's buyer at Waterstone's.

...

Kyle Good, spokeswoman for Rowling's U.S publisher Scholastic, said they had not received a date for when they would receive the manuscript nor when the book would be published.

I'm ready for it...whenever it comes out!

2. .
I like them and I think they are great books for children but does anyone else share my feeling that she ruined it a little bit with all those deaths of important characters in these last books?

3. I don't

I admit I didn't like Sirius and wasn't upset when he died. He was a "Peter Pan" personality and I think he was actually harmful to Harry. I don't think he meant to be, but Harry was not James and it appeared that Sirius may have seen him as a replacement for James.

As far as Dumbledore...I think he had to die. Harry has to learn to stand up to Voldemort without DD. Sort of like "using the force", Harry has to believe in his abilities.

Cheers

7. Yikes! Spoiler alert!
Okay, I've read them already, but I read them long after they were released, and so many of my friends tried to spill the beans after they'd read it in a 24-hour sitting that I wanted to send the Dementors after them.

But there could be a few DUers about that haven't gotten to them yet. :)

9. Oops

Sorry, after this long I didn't even think of a spoiler alert.

Shame on me...

Cheers

10. Rosebud's a sled.
Michael has Fredo killed.
They get the ring to Mt. Doom and melt it down.

At some point, spoilers aren't expected. If the book just came out last week, I would get it. It's been long enough now.

5. I put off reading them for such a long time.
I could not figure out what everyone was so excited about. Then I read them and now I understand. They are awesome. Once you start with the first book, you just can not put them down!!

6. .
Same for me and possibly the case for many who ridicule it without having read a single word from the books. Maybe that's because it's seen as a book for children.
