Looks like the 55% Republican majority in the Senate (and with some Republicrats like Evan Bayh) the Democrats may not even be able to fillibuster Bush judge nominees, etc?

Republicans say that they wanted to defeat Daschle badly to "point out to other Democratic senators that they will target and take out obstructionist Democrats." In other words, political extortion!
