5. I agree. CBS has always been superior, but they did an exceptional
job, tonight, and are still doing it! Actually, I was considering sending them an e-mail, telling them how much I appreciate their accurate and balanced coverage. I've always admired Dan Rather. I agree with Greg Palast, who called him "a true journalist." And Ed Bradley, Bob Scheiffer and Lesley Stahl are excellent, as well. I was watching this same group during the 2000 election and I will never forget Bob Scheiffer's words. After calling it back and forth, which must have been embarrassing for a major news organization, they finally found for Bush*, and Bob Scheiffer said that, since Bush* did not have a mandate, he would have to appoint a truly bi-partisan administration. And, in his arrogance, Bush* proceeded to assemble the most partisan administration in history. A huge mistake for the American people.:-(

8. Closest thing to non-partisan media America has.
Thanks, CBS, for not being abject, pathetic, pro-corporate partisan whores. Thanks for being mostly fair. The majority of us appreciate it, and that's why you're America's most-watched network. If you were MORE liberal, you'd have more viewers, but why would you want that?

CBS is my favorite network to watch on election night, and has been since 1984, when I was 14. Until Air America buys a TV network (and AMAZES people with their financial success, just like they did in radio), CBS will be my favorite. But I WISH they would give a complete spin-free story once in a while. It hurts me when they hold back from the truth. I understand why they do it, but DAMN, I wish they were honest.

I wish someone was.
