Did Warren Co. FBI agent have a name?
Everything I have read does not give the name of the FBI agent that supposedly met with the Warren County officials. Has anyone heard if this agent been identified? And if not, has anyone seen or heard anything more about the official that claims to have had a "face to face" with this agent.

1. The Cincinnati Enquirer investigated that angle, FBI & Homeland
Security denied making contact with anyone in Warren County.

The decision to lock out the press was made on Oct. 25, but the press was not notified, until they arrived on Nov. 2.

2. I've been asking this
question since the story first broke.

The local official should have had the name of the "agent". Also, if I recall the alleged "agent" met with several Warren Co. Officials. Did anyone think to ask them for ID?

4. If they have no ID
of the agent and FBI says they never made contact, one would think they would want to know who this guy was. Or else start leaning on the Warren official that claims to have met him.

5. Absolutely
This is a critical question. And -- WTF? -- what is the MSM doing about this? Talk about an industry which has abandoned any pretense of doing its job! Is anyone looking into this?

10. If I lived close enough
I would go to the BOE and ask myself. If the Warren official made the whole thing up, his head should roll. If not he should be co-operating VERY proactively with the FBI to identify this guy. Don't know whats worse, impersonating an FBI agent, or listenening to someone impersonating an FBI agent

9. A friend of mine owns a coffee shop that
had a Kerry fundraiser. A few days later a guy came in and said he was from Homeland Security from Northern Kentucky and wanted to know if she was going to have a Bush fundraiser.

13. Did she get a name
Maybe she should report this to FBI or DHS. If yahoo ops are running around posing as officials, that kinda screams for the "proper" attention.

14. Refused to name
Hi---here's from Cincy Enquirer. Don't know if you need to register or not (I'm registered with a ton of papers, and have my keychain set to automatically give passwords, so I'm not sure).

Clipped from http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2004/11/10/loc_warrenvote10.html Thursday, November 11, 2004 9:07:54 AM:

Warren Co. defends lockdown decision
FBI denies warning officials of any special threat

By Erica Solvig and Dan Horn
Enquirer staff writers

LEBANON - Warren County officials, facing scrutiny of their decision to lock down the administration building on election night, say they were responding to a terrorist threat that ranked a "10" on a scale of 1 to 10.
...

"It wasn't international terrorism that we were in fear of; it was more domestic terrorism," South said Tuesday. "I much prefer sitting here today telling you why we did implement security rather than why we didn't."

County board of elections officials had compiled a list of people who were approved for after-hours access, but that list didn't include reporters.

It also didn't include an approved ballot-count watcher.

...

While the administration building was the top security concern, other precautions were taken countywide, according to Frank Young, the county's emergency services director. ...Young said he recommended the security precautions after getting information from an FBI agent during a conversation about general Election Day threats. *Young refused to identify the agent Tuesday.*

...Young declined to go into detail on security preparations.

...

"The FBI did not notify anyone in Warren County of any specific terrorist threat to Warren County before Election Day," FBI spokesman Michael Brooks said.

16. Thanks for the link
That's one of the articles I had read. But it's dated the eleventh. That's why I was asking if anyone had heard of any further developments. It seems odd that a county official would be allowed to "refuse to identify" someone who the FBI has said has no credibility.
