I am sick of the wimpy attitudes.
It ain't over yet. Regardless of whether or not we win there is a tomorrow.

I've seen too many comments stating some version of "I'm moving to Canada." Here are my thoughts on that from a post I made in another thread.

That's just what this country needs; voters to leave the country. So what? You say you can still vote as an absentee. Big deal. What about the work that needs to be done for the next election? That's right. You plan to be in Canada so the rest of us get to take up the slack.

Sorry to say it to you, but you need to wake up and smell the coffee. Elections are won more by hard work than by the simple act of punching a ballot.

Every damned vote counts and every workers multiplies his/her vote with the work he/she does.

Wimp out. Run to Canada. Laugh at the rest of us working our asses off during the next election.

1. Actually, I think a number of us will be in Canada (or elsewhere)
because we are TIRED of working and living with fucktards who vote for the likes of Bush. We DON'T LIKE THOSE KIND OF PEOPLE. We wouldn't choose to live with them any more than we would choose to live in some broken-down African tribal territory where the people regularly chop each other up with machetes. Anyone who lives in such a place certainly has the right to get the fuck out if they've a mind to, without getting a ration of shit over it.

Certainly innocents will be left behind to suffer and carry on, but many more who are left behind deserve that suffering, and in fact SHOULD suffer so that sufficient incentive is given to them to change their RW views. Either that, or starve in the dark while other countries like Canada walk toward the light. I personally have officially stopped giving a damn what happens to the American people.

2. So go already
and get the hell out of the way of those of us who are willing to continue to work for change.

3. Thanks for your support. Some of us can't afford to leave or have family
that we can't leave here by themselves. Don't punish them while punishing the ones who deserve it.

7. Then you are a coward
And an honourless worm. If you are going to run rather than continuing to fight then you are truly a coward. Do you think that those who came before us would have ran rather than stood and fought? The thing that made them great is they did NOT run. Consider that.

8. I feel this way too.
We are going backwards as a nation and apparently people like that, I don't want my kids growing up in that atmosphere. Maybe I'm just depressed, but I only have so much patience and tolerance.

13. If Canada is your pick, maybe you can caravan on up there
with the rest of the doomsayers and leave the rest of us alone to get the job done. I'll quit fighting when I die.

That's a wonderful example for the kids: if things don't go your way, run away and hide. That always makes everything better.

4. Amen to that!

You know what will happen if you leave the United States? You'll spend all your free time reading/watching/surfing news channels about what is happening in the United States! Just look at how involved the rest of the world was in our election today!

Better idea: Take a break, reboot, and stay here. There are too few liberals as it is. Every one of us makes a difference.
