25. With America in this Fateful hour.
I call upon all Heaven and it's power.
The sun with its brightness,
The snow with its whiteness,
The fire with all the strength in it hath,
The lightning with its rapid wrath,
The winds with their swiftness along their path,
The sea with its deepness,
The rock with their steepness,
The earth with its starkness,
All these I place,
BY God's almighty strength and grace,
Between myself and the powers of darkness.

24. That has been a problem all night
Earlier, that site had another candidate named Cobb (don't know who or what he is) running AHEAD of Kerry in votes in Lucas County, and had him TIED with Kerry in Hamilton County.

Obviously something is f'd up -- some suspect dirty tricks but it's probably more of a computer glitch.

The state hung on Cleveland. Also, this did not help: Kerry did not do as well as expected in Montgomery/Clark Counties, in SW Ohio. I live in Montgomery County (Dayton), and right now I'm honestly stunned. If he had carried Montgomery, that would have gone a long way toward carrying the state.

In any event, the statement on the votes came from the campaign. The networks are not changing their vote tallies as they concern Ohio.

19. EMAIL THEM!! EMAIL THEM!! EMAIL THEM!!
Slap them around for calling Ohio so soon before the numbers were really known, and then give them a little credit for recognizing their mistake and reversing course.

21. Wolf Blitzer just interviewed Blackwell
The Ohio vote may turn on the provisional ballots. Since they won't be opened for ten days, while they decide which groups should be counted, Blitzer concluded that we probably won't know for "11 days or longer."

22. That's just what I've been saying.
By my calculations:
Kerry 2,506,900
Bush 2,469,200
---------------
Margin +37,700

23. Let's suppose Kerry wins in Ohio.
What are the chances of Wisconsin and Michigan as well? And Iowa
seems to be on the borders of both the red and the blue states, so
what are the chances there? I have a friend in Green Bay who says
Wisconsin is basically pretty conservative, so could he take it?

I'm guessing NV and NM are more likely to go to Bush, seeing as how
they're in the midst of all that red. But Kerry needs more than
Ohio doesn't he - I can see he's lost without it, but it's not
enough on it's own.

* is winning Iowa. NV is pretty close, could go either way. NM will probably go to *
