Fadiman's "Stealing America...Vote by Vote" Sold out in Cols OH!
"Stealing America...Vote by Vote "
A Film by Dorothy Fadiman
Ohio Premier at the Drexel Gateway Theater, Columbus, Ohio
Sunday, September 24, 7:30 pm.

Many were turned away. I ran into many election reformers who were unable to attend-it was sold out 20 minutes before the showing. Let's hope those who see it are new to the movement! Our efforts are growing momentum!

5. "Stealing America" is a fantastic film -- schedule showings everywhere
Dorothy and Kat sent me a copy of the film, which I watched during a downpour this Saturday when I could not work outside. It is a fantastic film, balancing the many experts who have important things to say about this issue with archival footage from the 2004 election and post-election. (I thought Clint Curtis' testimony was particularly well-presented.)

The minimalist musical soundtrack backing the film was also very effective, sounding like a ticking time bomb. The film also ended with very concrete suggestions on what folks can do to reverse the election theft, including success stories from New Mexico and other places.

The film was also very up-to-date (which is amazing for any project like this), including segments from recent Lou Dobbs' reports on CNN.

I have seen four election theft films recently and this one ranks very high. Richard Van Slyke's "The Right to Count" is also well-done. Another one that folks should watch for -- one that is still in production -- is "Eternal Vigilance" by David Earnhardt. That film will carry much footage from the National Election Reform Conference in Nashville (April, 2005).

We plan to schedule a public showing of "Stealing America" in Nashville as soon as we can find a large enough venue. I doubt that we will charge to show the film -- no one should be turned away from seeing it.

9. Is this a different "Eternal Vigilance" than David Earnhardt's?
I have only seen 15 minutes of David's film (opening and closing). Whose film is the "Eternal Vigilance" you're showing in Cleveland? If it's David's rough cut, I am very jealous -- the part I've seen already is exceptional.

10. David Earnhardt
David Earnhardt is on the list of shceduled documentary filmmakers, but I don't have info that he will be in attendence. They are alloting 1:20 for the showing so it must be the entire film. Not sure if it's the rough cut or not.

As part of the organizing/tech team I hope I can find time to sit in on a few of these movies. My duties as A/V tech coordinator come first!

FYI, CLE OH is only 6 hours away from NYC and CHI IL by car (and all points in between). A most doable one-day trip!

11. FAR OUT!!! This is a fantastic film -- you should see it.
David filmed the National Election Reform Conference in Nashville (April, 2005) and then traveled to Ohio, Georgia and other areas to put together an excellent overview of this issue. He even includes archival footage from the 60s civil rights marches and much more. I am really jealous, since we Orange Staters have only seen short clips from the film.

Everyone go see this film -- everyone go to Ohio!!

We can change the world, rearrange the world -- we are the ones we've been waiting for.
