1. It seems the FEC 2002 Standards has some security rules

in its 'Software Integrity" section... (Section 4:2:2 i think). The wording specifically prohibits interpreted code because it is a security concern. But of course sadly these standards are not nearly good enough as Harri Hursti's hacks and now Princeton's hacks prove conclusively.

5. Yes the standards are voluntary for states to decide...

...but once states pass law mandating that the machines/systems must comply with the FEC (or EAC) Standards then in those states the standards must be legally binding. No?

By the way I did interview Brit Williams in 2004 and he admitted on camera that if a hacker could swing a populous county in Georgia then they could conceivably swing the whole state. Paul Craft ran away.
