I Need Actual November 2, 2004 ballots

I need 7,000 to 10,000 or more actual November 2, 2004 ballots.

I would like to know one way or the other if this sort and weigh proposal will work:

http://www.washburnresearch.org/HandCountingPaperBallots.htm

Does this work? Work fast enough? Work with multi-race ballots? Have sufficient check and balances and security to minimize fraud?

I want to get real world, empirical evidence of the viability of this proposal (or lack therof). I want to video record the whole 6-7 hours to DVD. The availability of the raw video as well as 30 second, 1 minute, 10 minute, and 30 minute versions is to blunt claims I have presented this in an out of context way.

I have a scale company here willing to lend me a $1500 high capacity, high sensitivity counting scale for nothing more than prominent product placement in the resulting video.

I have a film crew available (camera, lights, sound, and director) willing to donate the equipment and time in exchange for the copyright to the result and credit toward there film degree.

2. Rethugs are always looking for a way to game the system.
If ballots are counted by weight, cheating could be achieved through variances in the weight of the paper.
It wouldn't be obvious to the eye, and problems that are harder to detect especially hurt our side.

3. Absolutely, but hand count or
hand sort+weight count the ballots are out in the open for all to see, I can't fault the guy, he's got an idea, it makes the crime of vote stealing (fixing scales), have to be done out in the open, which makes it harder for the crime family running our country from counting our votes in secret.

And everyone has one of these, if someone wanted to do a quick test to be sure that the scale is correct.

Denomination Cent Nickel Dime Quarter
Weight 2.500 g 5.000 g 2.268 g 5.670 g

I'm not saying it is perfect but it would be way better than what we have now, he isn't just sayng HCPB he has a plan, thats a plus.

4. I don't hear John Washburn saying he thinks it's a good system,
simply that he wants to evaluate it thoroughly. He's a thorough kind of a guy. Has done some great work for the movement helping people understand about "test decks" for e-voting machines. He was at the Portland conference last fall.
