Indiana GOP accused of purging voters' names in error

Marion County Democrats on Thursday charged the GOP with playing politics with the voter registration rolls by canceling registrations of qualified voters.

Republicans said the cancellations were the result of recently discovered errors that can be corrected before the fall election, and the fact they were caught shows that the safeguards in place work.

At issue is the planned purging of more than 4,000 registrations of people registered in more than one place.

Postcards were sent to those folks notifying them that their ability to vote was in jeopardy.

At Thursday's meeting of the Marion County Election Board, it was revealed that 18 people complained they were mistakenly earmarked for purging.

people supposed to eliminate your old address when you move and re-register.. i was never informed of the process.. is their an established process for when you move..
