Dr. Miller will be speaking on the importance of reclaiming elections for the American people. In Fooled Again, Miller argues that it wasn't "moral values" that swung the 2004 presidential election, but theft - and that it's a harbinger of elections to come. Miller says that the pattern of anomalies, improper procedures and blatant violations of the law in state after state constitute the new Republican electoral strategy and that we can expect to see it employed in 2006 and 2008 if concerned citizens don't take action to prevent it from happening.

Mark Crispin Miller is a professor of media studies at New York University and a well-known author and speaker. His writings on film, television, propaganda, advertising and the culture industries have appeared in numerous journals and newspapers, including The Nation and the New York Times. He is the author of The Bush Dyslexicon: Observations on a National Disorder (2001) and Cruel and Unusual: Bush/Cheney's New World Order (2004). A frequent commentator on TV, radio and the Internet, Miller has appeared on Frontline, The PBS Newshour, The O'Reilly Factor, Washington Journal and Bill Moyers' The Public Mind and many other television shows. He is a regular commentator on Air America, appeared often on "Morning Sedition" and "The Al Franken Show." He lives in New York City with his wife, Amy Smiley, their two sons and special cat.

Bob Fitrakis is a Political Science Professor in the Social and Behavioral Sciences department at Columbus State Community College. He earned a J.D. from the Ohio State Univeristy Mortitz College of Law in 2002 and his Ph.D is in Political Science from Wayne State University in Detroit. He is the author of five Fitrakis Files books: Spooks, Nukes & Nazis, Free Byrd & Other Cries for Justice, A Schoolhouse Divided, The Brothers Voinovich and the Ohiogate Scandal and Star Wars, Weather Mods and Full Spectrum Dominance. Fitrakis and Harvey Wasserman co-wrote DId George W. Bush Steal America's 2004 Election? Essential Documents (with Steve Rosenfeld) and How the GOP Stole America's 2004 Election & Is Rigging 2008, George W. Bush vs. The SuperPower of Peace in 2003 and Imprison Bush in 2004-2005. Dr. Fitrakis is a frequent speaker on political, labor and social policy issues at national academic and political conferences. The Illinois Ballot Integrity Project is incorporated as a not-for-profit, non-partisan civic organization, dedicated to the correction of election system deficiencies and ensuring fair, accurate, and completely transparent elections. IBIP believes that fundamental to election integrity is the inscribing of all votes (whether by hand or by machine) on durable paper ballots which are easily handled and verified by the individual voter. IBIP meets regularly at 7:00 pm on the second Wednesday of the month at Goose Island Brew Pub, 1800 N Clybourn in Chicago. More information: www.ballot-integrity.org

The Election Defense Alliance is a project of the International Humanities Center (www.ihcenter.org) a 501(c)(3) IRS exempt organization. EDA's mission is to help build and coordinate a comprehensive, cohesive national strategy for the election integrity movement, in order to regain public control of the voting process in the United States, and to insure that the process is honest, transparent, secure, verifiable, and worthy of public trust. 3. New name, old crew...Election Defense Alliance...
I'm not talking about the age of the members, just the time they've been on the seen. Two of the founders, Jonathan Simon and Hal Ashby, are long time proponents of serious advocacy and positions. Nice to see them out there with MCM and the Ballot group.

thanks, K&R
