1. hate and bitterness over people's sexual preferences (orientation) and
genders and although we pray to a God whom we believe is a male God, i think we often appeal to this God's femenine side(his "soft" side, his maternal "nurturing", God, the She God who, like a mother is there to console when we get scraped knees, broken dreams, and so on, and yet, that same femenine which we seek in God, is forbidden by human man from serving as a priest at the altar of God. How strange and confusing. And we don't stop long enough, or look deep enough, to think about it.

2. The headlines coming from the Episcopalian and Methodist Churches
covering a variety of news is more heart warming than those from the Catholic Church. In the C Church we learn more about the secret society - Opus Dei - including 'permission demanded' book authors - where permission is required by their New York or Rome office before a member can read the authors. And - whether fact or lore - women must enter the headquarters in New York by a side door. And we have already been learning about the very narrow words of Opus Dei members within the Republican Party.

3. I joined the Episcopal Church a little over a year ago after being
in the Catholic Church for 46 years. It was one of the best decisions I ever made and I would recommend the switch to any Catholics that are disheartened by the move to the right and the anti-gay positions of the Catholic Church.
