Is anyone familiar with IVS Inspire "Vote by Phone" Paper Ballot
Marking System? What are its pros and cons? Thanks in advance for any information that is provided.

1. Hi, T.
I looked it over a while ago.

As best I can tell, it has two modes of operation.

One involves using a keypad to trigger a ballot-marker. Seems no worse than AutoMark.

The other mode, however, also involves phonelines to a central location. And I know how to hack that.

2. Thanks Wilms. It sounds like the phoneline version is not a
safe option. Is there anyway to make the phonelines secure so that it could be a viable alternative?

3. To be fair, I only pondered hacking it.

But I'm not so sure I'd come up with a way to secure it.

Why don't they just use it without the phoneline connection?
