1. we just lost k20 polling places in our county
I don't even have a polling place and am to vote absentee. I'm in Mendocino county California.

2. I call it the deprecinctification of America.

And it's happening largely to serve DRE's, not voters.

It's also a good way to reduce the number of polling places you have to make wheel-chair accessible.How does this help people with disabilities?

3. Besides the loss of access to the disabled
it also serves to limit the auditability of elections. :(

4. I think that we're going to see long lines
at the polling place in one of the towns in our area. They are sending 2000 new people to a place where about 4000 vote already. Small parking lot, very little parking. I think you're right that they are buying these machines at an incredible cost to us, while screwing us out of our votes.
