Radical, New-fangled Voting Machines.
The very idea that we would allow, indeed, even pay private businesses to take our vote behind their fences and then turn around and tell us how we voted, is as radical an idea as any I've ever heard.

Those damn radicals in the election process have pulled one over on us! And made some kind of fantastic profit, to boot!

Well, as we have seen, Diebold, et al, days are coming to an end. The radical machines will be shit-canned in the near future, even quicker if you demand your right to be able to examine how your vote is counted.

1. They'll be shi*-canned only if our politicians are brave enough
to take them on.

2. I wonder what would happen
if people protested at polling sites.

5. I believe you would be arrested
Which is, crooked electronic voting machines notwithstanding, as it should be.

6. Probably...
And, yeah, we don't want to discourage people from voting, after all. But, then again, maybe it would have the opposite effect. If people thought other people were TRYING to prevent them from voting (in an obvious manner) maybe it would get them out there to do it.

If we could only get some nutjob (Phelps) out there to do it...

3. How about a black Sharpie 'X' on card stock?
Not radical, not new-fangled, but safe, secure and 100% auditable.

4. I think everyone should demand to
see the votes being counted, at the central tabulator locations. We should have big crowds at these locations during the elections so that they know the gig is up.
