Election Tampering "at the Behest of...State...Federal Republican Parties"

National Republican Party Further Linked to New Hampshire Election Tampering/Phone-Jamming Case

by Brad

2/3/2006

snip

Allen Raymond, one of the guys at the center of the New Hampshire phone-jamming case, was sentenced today up in New Hampshire.

In court, his lawyer, John Durkin, said that when Raymond was executing the election tampering plot he "was acting at the behest of the state and federal Republican parties (italics included)."

The call came from the campaign committee run by Sen. Bill Frist (R-TN). Jim Tobin, who's now appealing his conviction, was the guy who worked for Frist's committee, the NRSC.

This investigation ain't over.

For more info on that Republican Election Phone-Jamming case, see this previous coverage, as well as this report for details on the RNC itself footing the legal bills for Tobin and friends. For still more, search BRAD BLOG for the word "Tobin".

5. Now why is somebody trying to pull my good neighbor, Bill Frist,
into something like this? He would never do anything illegal or immoral.

8. From watching video of him, it seems clear that he is responsive.
Of course, I'm not a doctor, and I would NEVER diagnose based on watching video.

17. That server is down.
Edited on Sun Feb-05-06 12:38 AM by drm604
The IP address for his site does not respond. Other sites at that same IP, such as conyersblog.com, also fail to respond. Hopefully it's just some technical problem. The IP responds to pings, but a traceroute fails after a few hops. It would seem to me that responding to pings but not web page requests might indicate that the web server is down but that something (a router?) is still responding to pings. But the failing traceroute makes me question that. Maybe someone here more techy than me can explain it. Maybe a DOS attack?

On Edit:I apologize for such a technical post. I'm just saying that there is definitely some kind of problem with either that server or the path to that server and that it might be because someone has launched some kind of denial of service attack on that server.

I don't the sentencing hearing is going to get more coverage than Jim Tobin's resignation.

20. I can't believe the lawyer actually said that in court!
He implicated the BIG guys. A lawyer doesn't do that accidentally.
He has to know there will be repercussions.
Maybe the RNC check bounced.

Don't get me wrong - I love this news!
I'm just shocked that the lawyer is linking this to the federal, or national Republican party itself!
