They invited Dr. Mercuri to be a panelist of one of their events about a month ago.
They put her name on the advertising, etc.
When they found out that she had some concerns about IRV, they UN-invited her.
IRV is a scheme that takes up most of the real estate on an optical scan ballot for a local election.
If done in a large election, such as a general election, DREs would be a must.
Fair Vote used it's muscle to try to force requirements for IRV programmed equipt in NC, even thought it might have prevented our VVPB law from passing.
They try to find states that have VVPB legislation, or any election related legislation that has alot of support, and find a way to piggy back on it.
They show up after you have done all of the work, and try to take advantage of it.
They definitely promote electronic voting through their actions.
How the heck to you audit an IRV election, huh?
They do make a ton of money off of "ballot programming contracts" though, and if they can get IRV in more places, they will make even more money.
Go to Guidestar.org and (get a free registration) and look at their tax returns.
