Badnarik from the Libertarian party may consider the possibility. Again, depends on financial assistance.

4. It's a sad fact of life that
it's the little guy who is willing to fight tooth and nail. Once you make it big, you get complacent or worry about losing your cushy spot. Could happen to the Greens too if they ever make it big, though I would hope we would work hard not to allow that to happen.

7. Here's the email I got.
David Cobb will be a guest in a radio program, "Election Hotwired" opn Pacifica ststion KPFK in Los Angeles in just under an hour. The Green Party of Ohio will act as a fiscal agent for the receipt of donations. This has been vetted with the Ohio secretary of state's office.
Here's the contact info;

Make checks payable to;
Green Party of Ohio
P.O. box 754
New Albany, Ohio
43054

Paypal donations can be sent to;
treasurer@ohiogreens.net

It is probable that there will be other organizations which will solicit funds for this same purpose. CASE will attempt to coordinate the effort and make sure that we're all collaborating smoothly.
We know virtually nothing about the OhioRecount internet-based
entity and so far our e-mail inquiries to the contact listede on their website have not been answered. Why would an individual or organization try to initiate a fundraising campaign without fiirst confering with the existing groups already working on this issue? Where is there any explanation as to where any funds donated to OhioRecount will be directed or by whom? Why is there no other contact info on the website other than an e-mail?
The Green Party PAC is a "bird in the hand", so to speak - and it's a known bird that answers the phone.

Tune in to KPFK on-line via http://www.pacifica.org navigate to the KPFK link.

11. much to gain
The little parties have much to gain if they can demonstrate that there was voting fraud on the part of both parties. In fact, I have suspected that the Democratic party may also be guilty of some fraud (Keith will speak about possible Dem fraud in PA tonight), and this may be why they are hesitant to challenge the election results.

I certainly want to see Republican guilt demonstrated, but I wouldn't be surprised if they uncovered dirt on both parties.

Nader also has little to lose and much to gain. Maybe the actions of these parties will open up the eyes of America...that we need not limit our elections to the two-party ticket just because these parties have so much more money to spend on campaigning.

26. I'll bet Keith's Penn fraud is false registrations submitted
by one of the left leaning groups.

This is great fodder for the Freeper types who are too stupid to realize that Dick Tracy wasn't going to vote because he didn't have the id required to vote the first time. The fact that they cling to that example explains the mentality of the average * supporter.

we should all go vote for them. It's becoming obvious
they're the ones with the backbone ...

20. Maybe Kerry is laying low because if he was involved then the repubs
would go to work synchronizing the flying monkeys and make the attempt to recount look non-credible. As it is, if the repubs go after little Nader or the little green party, it will look as if they are trying to hide something. after all what are you afraid of everyone would say, the green party or Nader is of no threat to you.

15. New Mexico finding voter fraud!
State Police investigating voter fraud

Last Update: 11/09/2004 8:20:58 AM
By: Reed Upton

New Mexico State Police are investigating allegations of voter fraud – including one instance in which an as-of-yet unnamed woman is being connected with up to 200 bogus ballots.
“One of my employees can identify one person that did bring in the majority of those cards that we didn’t enter into our rolls because addresses didn’t exist,” said Bernalillo County Clerk Mary Herrera, explaining why her office disqualified several provisional ballots.

Provisional ballots are ballots that voters are allowed to cast if the voter’s name isn’t on the voter roll at their polling place.  Before they are counted, the county clerk verifies that the voter is actually registered.

Herrera says roughly 25 percent of the provisional ballots in Bernalillo County have been rejected as invalid.  Now that those in-lieu-of ballots have been sorted, the vote counting begins.

Currently, one percentage point of the vote total separates President George Bush from Senator John Kerry in the race to claim New Mexico’s five electoral votes.

22. If ever there were a red herring it is that the
bogus registrations that were submitted constitute some sort of attempt to steal the election. Mary Poppins was never gong to appear to vote, the fraud was against the organizations that paid for the falsified registrations.

As for the provisional ballots being rejected, that tells me the system is working, the ballots were provisional so the information could be checked.

Have there been any threads listing which States had Green Party/Libertarian Candidates with their contact info? It is shaping up right now to be that our best hope of democracy integrity is from the Green Party. Not sure if there are other threads asking to start being more agressive in our efforts by emailing as many emails as possible to the alternative candidates so that we can get mass audit recounts nationwide!

TITLE: It's Not Easy Being Green
Lyrics

It's not that easy being green
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold
Or something much more colorful like that

It's not easy being green
It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things
And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're
Not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water
Or stars in the sky

But green's the color of Spring
And green can be cool and friendly-like
And green can be big like an ocean, or important
Like a mountain, or tall like a tree

When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why
Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful
And I think it's what I want to be

33. While you are at it, consider working on getting ranked voting
in your town, county or state. I vote Green wherever possible, but frequently the large progressive crowd in my area split their vote between left-leaning parties and we often wind up with a repub going to the state house. BUT, not this year! The Dem won and the Green had a reasonably healthy showing all things considered. :)

Some of us don't always have the time to cruise the net and determine who's legit and who's not.... A page with vetted information, updated regularly would be most helpful

I mean, is it a hand recount, is it statewide, who actually carries out the count and what's to stop it being fixed?
How much of Ohio's voting was done on machines without paper trails?
How do we know that lots of ballots haven't already been destroyed?

Lots of questions.

How about we bypass the DNC and form a structure than includes members of both the Democratic Party, the Green Party, the P & F Party and other groups that want to band with us. We do what it takes to make sure there is a candidate representing us and we use this organization to unify everyone behind a single candidate we can trust.

G'day fellow liberals,

First off, I just want to give you all a HUGE thanks. I found this site two days after the election and it has prevented me from going completely insane.

So is there any chance that this thing will go forward tomorrow? I have a feeling that if the ballots are manually counted, and the provisional/absentee ballots are figured in, then Kerry will win Ohio.

62. No offense, but...
Do donations go specifically and only toward a recount effort, or do they just all go into the Green Party coffers? Don't get me wrong. If the Green Party can get a recount, I'll be very appreciative. It doesn't look like the Democratic Party is doing much. However, there seem to be multiple organizations devoted to fighting the fraud, and I'd like to be sure any donation I make is going to the most effective effort.

67. I think this is a great show of UNITY in our country... UNITY for truth!
When the 3rd parties come together to help the "minority", that is unity, especially when the "minority" is actually the majority. GREAT JOB AMERICA!
