was anyone just listening to Morning Sedition????
Edited on Tue May-17-05 07:10 AM by JennasLiver
Mark Crispin Miller was just on. He has a new book-"What Went Wrong In Ohio?" It's an edited, easy to read version of the Conyer's
Report with a foreward by Gore Vidal. Marc Maron was practically apologizing for his stance after the election-his calling people conspiracy theorists. In the past week I've seen him and Al Franken come around (finally)-that coupled with the GREAT Jim Lampley blog smells like victory!!!!!!!!!!!Amazon link (Author Anita Miller is his mother)[http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/089733535X/qid=1116330914/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/002-8937026-5883242on edit-i guess Franken hasn't come around-I thought i had heard that, but i guess I was wrong.

1. No you were right
I heard him say on Bill Maher that he thought the election results were suspicious. He's running for the Senate now so I guess he's decided to show some nads.

4. i think Franken would be running..
against current senator Norm Coleman-he became senator after beloved Senator Paul Wellstone died right before the election in a mysterious "plane crash". The link for Jim Lampley's article is <http://www.huffingtonpost.com/theblog/archive/2005/05/biggest-story-of-our-live.html> I'll check out your blog when I get the chance-(it would help a lot if you posted the link-just click on the HTML lookup table when you're posting and then click on preview before you post to make sure it works)I like the idea of orange post cards!! welcome to DU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10. Link to Maher show here; Franken didn;t say he thought the results were
suspiciois; he said Rove and CO. play very , very dirty. He talked about how after the election they talked to experts at MIT, etc. and concluded that the elections was not stolen. But from listening to him, I thought it would be worthwhile to continue to send him info. He sounds more educable than, for example, MoveOn.

2. Interesting
Thanks, sometimes I forget to turn the radio on. I can't belive if Franken would look at the info at VotersUnite and others that he wouldn't be convinced. That is so sad.
all other issues realte to this one, and I strongly feel we should move on this to coincide with Verified Voting Lobby Day in WDC- June 9th. I have petitons, on my blog for this and am pushing-everywhere I can find an ORANGE POST CARD campaign- and color but to request/demand SCREAM for real investigations into the election fraud problems, glitches or CRIMES against democracy- your choice of words od course, AND support the Rush/Holt bill550 / Verified Voting.
I also if you are ambitious enough would like y'all to send them to the media -which IS as we know a BIG part of the problem. There is a good petiton realting to that also-with great contact links.
Do it- then do more-sure- this ain't all that needs to be done but it's something, ya know....

5. If Franken is remotely serious of running for the senate...
...he better start doing something about electronic voting.

All that charm, humor, dedication, compassion and winning drive will get him absolutely nowhere.

7. I heard it, it was good
and I'm glad that not just Randi Rhodes is talking about election fraud now on AA. MCM was saying there is no single smoking gun on election fraud, but that that there are many of them. The GOP took every opportunity to take votes away from the democrats and this happened ALL OVER the country, not just Ohio. Also, the recount was undermined by every step of the way. They went out of their way to make sure that the counts "matched up". The book sounds good, I hope people other than us read it.

12. You can download it in 2 minutes from AirAmericaPlace.com
and either listen to it on your computer or save it to an iPod or other mp3 player.

Morning Sedition is my favorite AAR program, and I listen to it every day - - but at a reasonable hour of the day. :)

9. The tide is turning
Maher and Franken had not, to my knowledge, mentioned a crooked election until Friday's show. Belief in a crooked election is growing. There was a kid singing an anti-Bush song on Leno last week (I heard it on Maj Rep) and in his song mentions "voter fraud." The audience howled with delight. It has taken six months, but people are waking up.

11. Franken announced in December he would not run for the Senate
And he's still in denial about the stolen election (he can be really, REALLY stubborn at times - I know, I went to high school with him and Tom Davis)

17. Great post!
"smells like victory" may be right but, at the very least, it "smells like the start of a battle we WILL win!"

I share your optimism.
