CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT? Could we band together with
the coalition that includes PDA and Conyers and gather all of our best statisticians, documents and legal minds and come up with some sort -- any sort -- of class action lawsuit?

I know we can't sue the government but what about the electronic voting machine and tabulator companies?

Surely that would bring attention that would allow us to get some REAL DOCUMENTATION ON THE RECORD.

??

3. ...or a Citizens' Grand Jury
I've heard that some states have provisions for citizens to form a grand jury. Anybody up for researching this?

13. The case in NJ is pending IIRC is about open gov/sunshines laws
The NJ suit is filed against the GOv of NJ IIRC like the people vs the state of NJ. That is very different from Sharks suit in WA.

SO here in Essex County NJ we could also sue Sequoia, like in WA.
And then ask for an injunction to delay/void the existing contract for Seqioua to deliver DRE's to Essex. Based on the outcome of the 2 pending suits. ___Qualifier-- I aint no lawyer____

5. you're on the right track
have you seen Paul Lehto's lawsuit?

I believe the same type of suit could be used in class action. but i'm not a lawyer and I understand they just changed the class action rules.

Paul's lawsuit doesn't need any evidence of fraud. it just needs to prove there is secret vote counting which is unconstitutional. it seeks to void the contract between the voting machine company and the BOE.

8. clarification
Unconstitutional under the Washington State constitution. Has anyone else checked what other states have similar constitutional language?

11. the fundamental rights analysis would be roughly similar
under federal law, but states have 3/4 of elections jurisdiction, and i'd hate to see one lawsuit mess it up for the whole country -- or for a particular federal circuit... But, i could be persuaded... if the case was going to be a moon shot in terms of preparation and effort.

see April 7 lawsuit at www.votersunite.org

7. How about everyone group together and sue.
The lawyers are all out there getting rich everywhere aren't they? Well many a whole batch of them want to save democracy, get them all together and sue, sue, sue.

Put the voting machines right where they belong.....down the rigged swamp and sunk at the bottom of the ocean.

9. Ah, yes, the old election "reef-form" solution
voting machines at the bottom of the sea.

The progressive lawyers I know are anything but rich.
