2. The check is in the mail or is it?
I heard the paperwork was in order but he failed to send a check to cover the recount.

3. fax got jammed
My understanding is he sent it all in at the last minute, but apparently it's still good to go. The check was faxed, which is legal, but it got jammed.

What kind of ass prepares something which affects the future of our country at the last minute?

6. Nader only agreed to a recount because so many people
asked him to. It's obvious he has no chance in hell of winning.
It took a long time for him to decide on a recount, so that's why it was done in the last minute and could be too late.

4. Last night it was stated that
the recount was on by Hedda-foil. She is one of people who are working on it up front and personal.

5. Just got this in the mail and can't start a post.
Dear Friends

This hard fought

campaign needs your

support as soon as

possible.

We have been receiving phone calls and emails from voters thanking the Nader/Camejo campaign for our 50-state, more voices and more choices campaign.

This campaign was run on principle, grit and the determination that the two parties do not own the voters and should not control the electoral process to the exclusion of all other political viewpoints, participants and future directions for our country. We fought hard for the rights of voters to participate in the electoral process. We are a campaign that stands up for basic electoral reforms. And we will continue the fight to help get every vote cast in this election counted.

In our view, election 2004 is not over because of concession speeches. Rather, elections are over when every vote is counted and certified. In the last few days voting rights activists around the country have sent more than 1500 faxes urging this campaign to challenge electronic voting results because they have identified trouble spots in several states requiring further investigation.

On Friday, we were the only presidential campaign to file a request for a hand recount in New Hampshire, the state with the first recount deadline. We are now looking at Ohio and Florida, whose deadlines are coming up this week. We have also written to all the states where write-in votes are still being counted to make sure that no votes are discarded. And today Ralph Nader challenged John Kerry and John Edwards to follow through on their promises before and after the election to make sure every vote counts, starting in Ohio.

This campaign believes that every vote should be counted in this election – be it a write-in, absentee, provisional ballot, paper ballot, or on electronic vote-counting machines with no paper trails.

To get every vote counted takes time, energy and money. We are a campaign already in debt. We cannot take on this fight without continued assistance from our generous supporters and others who believe in the principle that in the United States of America we should conduct elections where every vote is counted. If you want to help, please do four things:

1) Visit our website today to read our releases on this effort.

2) Donate to help wind down our campaign and/or to pay for any recount demands we initiate, starting with New Hampshire.

3) Please forward this message to five friends to tell them to help get the vote counted and join our mailing list.

4) Email us at writein@votenader.org if you wrote-in Nader-Camejo and no vote was counted or if you were not allowed to do a write-in.

We will do our part and you need to do yours to get the word out that every vote should be counted in the United States of America.

Thank you for your support. Together we can make a difference, if we do not give up.

Theresa Amato
