4. Sure! Hi, Patsy ! Hi, everyone! Keith, you look scrumptious!
This is, unfortunately, another drive-by. The computer again is being commandeered for work.

I did want to say thanks to everyone for joining in to celebrate my 1000th last night.

Be back later, whenever I can pry the system from my husband's overachieving mitts. (Okay, I benefit from his work ethic!)
Maybe we can turn the show into a "4-hour experience"! :bounce:

See you die-hards in a little while...

Kids need role models and hope. Actually all people around the world need hope. There would be no "terrorists" if there was hope and equity in this world.

Yes, I know he killed and brought grief to other parents and the school and the community and I'm not excusing this, but a part of you has to feel sorry for a child who, basically, has no family - and no one seemed to care.

the more I hear about his life the sorrier I feel for him. Though it was not the way to scream for attention it makes me wonder how many times he cried out and it fell on deaf ears. I do also feel for the families of the victims and have to give the student/s that have already forgiven him allot of respect.

57. Sounds a lot like our KOEB rec room,

except for the part about manners:

"We took about 12 guys from the United States and different cities and we groomed them how to be perfect gentlemen," Fabio told AP Television News recently.

"So, we teach them how to have table manners, how to dance waltz and tango and salsa. And, at the same time, how to, you know, be a real gentleman with women, and what women really want."

According to Fabio, the most important thing a man can give a woman is his sense of humor. So to that end, "Mr. Romance" often goes for the humorous, with Fred Willard providing some color commentary.

"And, also, because when you put 12 guys, with a lot of testosterone, in one room — trust me, you get a lot of comedy," Fabio said.

Viewers of "Mr. Romance" also get a lot of skin. It's part of the show's "Romance Boot Camp."

"We get working out with weights and running and, also, you know, a good diet," Fabio said. "And it's important when you work out and try to keep a physique. Fifty percent is working out and 50 percent is eating habits. You know, you are what you eat."

All that sweat could be worth it. The top prize is $100,000 and the opportunity to follow in Fabio's footsteps as a Harlequin-romance cover model.

Fabio said the winner is in for a treat. "You know, you work with beautiful women all the time. You hug 'em and kiss 'em. And I don't think it's that tough."

116. O.K. from last night .....
The Summer House on Gull Bay.

Sydnie always liked the cupola ever since her teen years. When emotions
and personal problems were swirling around her she would go there and
smoke her "Virginia Slims" and read saucy novels about the rich and powerful
and their little bedroom games. But now with it being fixed up with new
windows, the oak wood work stripped, sanded, and finished this was her
own castle was again. The round bed and the chair by the window
filled it quite nicely. It was her room alone. She thought about
calling off her appointment that eve because she wanted to keep the
place "pure" but her estrogen was strong and the red merlot had taken the
edge off.

A voice called from the foot of the stairs ..... "It is me Keith. Are you
or are you not decent?"

I slipped in both eve & summer ......

conservative v. liberal or right v. left and that the EVIDENCE is what is considered.
The Supreme Court has denied this case three times - and 21 other judges said, "No."
How many times does this family have to be told "No," before they get that they have no case. Michael is her husband and guardian and he makes the decisions.

Frist asked to atone for killing cats

By Dee Ann Divis
Science and Technology Editor
Published 12/31/2002 8:13 PM

WASHINGTON, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., is being asked by an animal advocacy group to support legislation for better animal treatment to make up for fraudulently adopting cats from animal shelters then experimenting on and killing them while he was a medical student.

A Dec. 31 letter from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals asked Frist to make amends by pressing for reforms that would replace old-style tests where animals are subjected to painful and sometimes deadly procedures with newer, more humane approaches. They also requested that he help fund research to find non-animal alternatives.

Frist acknowledged in a 1989 book that he routinely killed cats while an ambitious medical student at Harvard Medical School in the 1970s. His office said it had no record on how many cats died. Frist disclosed that he went to animal shelters and pretended to adopt the cats, telling shelter personnel he intended to keep them as pets. Instead he used them to sharpen his surgical skills, killing them in the process.

The newly elected leader of the Senate Republicans revealed the practice in his book "Transplant: A Heart Surgeon's Account of the Life-and-Death Dramas of the New Medicine."

:eyes:

I've never voted for him, though. In fact, when he was running the first time, I had to interview him. One of my editors (who is NOW a recovering Republican) asked me what I thought of him. I told my editor that Frist was the anti-Christ. My editor and I are still friends - he tells me now that he should have believed me then.

85. It's really beginning to backfire on them.
My mom told me that at their senior residence, that's the only thing everyone is talking about. (every resident there had to sign an advanced directive before they moved in.) They had to bring someone in from social services/legal to assure the people that the FL case most definately would NOT happen to them.

They also had to be reassured that removing a feeding tube is not painful.

120. Hi, crispini! Hi, again, Pats!
Edited on Wed Mar-23-05 12:20 AM by WhirlyGirl
Patsy, when I watched this live, did I blink when they did the segment on people seeing the face of God in a grilled cheese sandwich -- or was the story killed at the last minute? Too bad if it was; the piece seemed full of promising associations with RevCheese and Holy Week. . . ;-)

Tonight's was a great show, as noted by several people upthread. Keith was passionate about the need for "counseling... ANYTHING" to prevent another school shooting. There definitely has been a change in KO of late (I can't stop taking his temperature) -- perhaps a return to the pre-2004-election KO, before he himself became a political issue.

He sure doesn't seem to want to have anything to do with that mess any more (witness Tweety doing the honors w/ Coleman & Blackwell earlier this evening, and NEITHER he nor Chris having any inclination to cover Blackwell's bad behavior before the election hearing in Columbus yesterday, even though the tape exists and it would've made for great TV drama).

Also, somewhere along the line his teeth got straightened.

In earlier publicity photos, it appeared his top teeth were out of alignment (which in no way detracted from his dreaminess!). The other day I looked at a series of 7 pictures captured during a recent episode of "What Have We Learned" -- and they're as evenly lined up as can be!

How do you do orthodontia while at the same time announcing the news?
When you're KO, the answer apparently is: With very little difficulty.

How could I forget these?-- :loveya::loveya::loveya::loveya::loveya::loveya::loveya::loveya::loveya::loveya:
