The Texas Secretary of State's Office has selected IBM to assist in developing a statewide, Web-based system for managing its voter registration database, the company announced Tuesday.

IBM will collaborate with key subcontractor Hart InterCivic, an Austin-based company, in the $12 million project.

"With this solution, Texas will lead the country as the state with the most advanced, secure and accurate system for maintaining the highest level of voter integrity," Texas Secretary of State Roger Williams said.

1. I have friends at Hart InterCivic
They are programmers that work in the companies Lafayette, CO branch. I'm not sure if they are the ones developing these systems or not. I certainly hope so because they are good honest people.
