I have heard for some time now the accusations that our military has been targeting American Journalists for death in Iraq. It is a horrifying and disturbing possibility, and one that we as a Nation do not want to accept. Yet, this Italian Journalist's claims are bringing light onto this possibility. If proven true, it is undeniable proof of this Administration's strangle hold of the fourth estate at whatever cost...including life. We must fight for our information and get to the actual facts that are happening there and here. We are lost without reality, a reality, that the regime Mr. bush has installed is at war with.
I ask that you stay aware of this deeply troubling event and keep focused on what the oppositional information sources are providing. I become more and more concerned about the lack of power our Main Stream monopolized corporate media sources have.
I know that this war is based on lies.
I know this election's outcome is based on lies.
I know the "power of mandate" is based on lies.
I know the "message " that is being promoted on any level by this neocon nightmare is highly orchestrated and not bound by any rules of reality.
and I know that the truth is a power worth fighting and dying for.
We have lost so many Americans, that gave their life to provide us with this right.
We must honor their ultimate sacrifice and demand our system of government be based on an open and free discourse of information. This is what Democracy is and this is what a Democracy does.

companion of freed Italian journalist Giuliana Sgrena on Saturday
leveled serious accusations at US troops who fired at her convoy as
it was nearing Baghdad airport, saying the shooting had been
deliberate. "The Americans and Italians knew about (her) car coming,"
Pier Scolari said on leaving Rome's Celio military hospital where
Sgrena is to undergo surgery following her return home. "They were
700 meters (yards) from the airport, which means that they had passed
all checkpoints." The shooting late Friday was witnessed by Prime
Minister Silvio Berlusconi's office which was on the phone with one
of the secret service agents, said Scolari. "Then the US military
silenced the cellphones," he charged. "Giuliana had information, and
the US military did not want her to survive," he added.
