The fancy shmancy electronics were expected and traced by law enforcement and there are people right on top of this to issue warrants at any moment. Maybe there are traces and logs and all kinds of stuff which would nail these guys down to the floor, and their heads to the coffee table.

I rmember being handed mimeographed(!) stuff and talking aobut it for days at a time in high school and college in the Stone Age, when computers were linked with yellow punched paper tape.
