Post election polls.
Another one cropped up. Not sure how I'd rate it's accuracy.

But having been raised catholic, I have no qualms about tendering a rather graphical response (misspelling intentional)

1. This part is interesting...
"Overall, the mainline Protestant vote split evenly, the poll found, with a Bush decline of 10 percent from 2000 and the best showing for a Democrat since the 1960s; results before then are unclear."

I wish this part of the poll would get more publicity. Bush LOST support amoung mainline Protestants? It sucks about the Catholic vote but that's great news about Protestants and goes against the whole media hype that would have us believe all Christians voted for Bush.

2. Yeah, it is rather interesting...
I wonder what Mitofski would have to say about it...

"Adjusted" exit polls.

Catholic (27%) 52% +5 47% 0%
Jewish (3%) 25% +6 74% *
Other (7%) 23% -5 74% 1%
None (10%) 31% +1 67% 1%

vs.

Numbers from above survey (also weighted to match results):
Change in Change in Change in
Bush Vote* Dem. Vote Turnout
Traditionalist Evangelical Protestant +4% -4% +7
Other Christians +12 -12 +7
ALL EVANGELICAL PROTESTANT +4 -4 +9
Traditionalist Catholic +17 -17 +12
Traditionalist Mainline Protestant 0 0 +14
Centrist Evangelical Protestant +3 -3 +2

Centrist Catholic +11 -11 +4
ALL NON-LATINO CATHOLIC +5 -5 +11

Other Faiths -5 +5 -7
Modernist Mainline Protestant -23 +23 +13
Atheists, Agnostics -12 +12 -7
Black Protestants +12 -12 0

...a survey that just somehow interviewed more democrats among protestants than among catholics... or a "final" exit poll that had to overrepresent "evangelicals" in order to make the numbers fit?

5. It's in the news/updates summary thread.

People here will find it, and it was already posted by someone else with a better title in the DU news reel. Part of the "experiment" was to use a bland thread title.
