Okay, DUers, Here's Our Chance To Fix the Democratic Party!
On this website ideas and suggestions are being collected through January 14 on how to fix the Democratic Party. The best 100 ideas will be submitted it to the new Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairman and to every Democratic U.S. Senator, Member of Congress, and Governor.

If you know of any person or group who has expressed disappointment in the Democratic Party, please forward this along.

4. My suggestion to the democratic party is to investigate
the election fraud that occurred on November 2, 2004. I told them if we don't get to the bottom of this, our party, as well as our democracy is finished. I also suggested that we put together a national conference on election fraud and invite anyone and everyone who has any evidence of fraud to come, speak and share their evidence. We then compile that evidence and launch a huge media/pr campaign. This fraud conference could take place in May or June of '05, which would give us enough time to publicize it and deal with all the logistics. If you agree with this, you can post something similar on their website.

5. Do the people
in that group think like most dems, that no fraud took place. First we have to show yes, even Dems, that fraud took place. It really irked me after the election to see them saying "what could we have done differently so that Kerry could have won." "we are going to have to think more like the Repukes" What the hell! I think first of all we have to show them that Kerry did win,we don't need to "improve the party" we just election reform and need all of the ballots counted and no voter suppression in the future.

6. Good suggestion KTH! I wholeheartedly agree. It's not our
fault Kerry didn't win. We did an awesome job campaigning for him. We were robbed by slimeball, dishonest, dishonorable republicans who think they can cheat and never get caught! Let's show them different.

7. i have a question
Edited on Sun Jan-09-05 04:17 PM by Faye
is this 'fix the democratic party' as in, wtf is wrong with our Democratic leaders who refuse to acknowledge this election was a fraud, or - the LIE - that the Democrats lost, now what can we do to be more like Republicans?

because the answer to that question will determine if i have anything to do with that site.

i went off about REAL election reform and said that Democratic leaders DO NOT NEED TO CHANGE their platform, they need to reinforce it. (to sum it up, anyway....i kind of went off there....)

11. Faye, I think it's totally okay to go off on these folks. I think
that's what they want. I got this group from the "Ohio for Kerry" group. All I know is that they ARE NOT associated with the DNC. Their website says they are a group of Dems from across the country. Since they were in the Kerry for Ohio group, I assume they are well aware of fraud allegations. They are just trying to see what all of us out here want to prioritize and then submit to the DNC. That's why I think we need to bombard them with "investigate the fraud" suggestions. If enough of us do that, perhaps the DNC will take us seriously. I'm not letting go of this, and I know most others on DU aren't either!

12. ok jomama
i sent this to them, thanks for the link.

There is nothing wrong with our democratic party we did a great job with the election and getting our candidate elected(until the EV machines changed our votes to Bush.)

The problems I had with the democratic party were after the election, they apparently did not do too much in the way of recounts and getting the facts the American public about fraud. From what I understand the media won't cover these issues unless someone "big" is addressing it.So because you seemed to ignore it,so did they, thus the American people did not know about it.Since the election 20% of the american people believe that there was fraud,do you know what party most of that 20% falls in?you got it ,the democratic. This means that 40% of your constituents believe that there was fraud. We had historic numbers of people voting and the people were told don't worry your votes will be counted, now you have let them down, good luck getting them to vote again.

What the democratic party needs to do is focus on election reform and voter suppression laws, really crack down on anyone or group that suppresses voters.
We need to bring our voting laws up to the 21st century and make our elections transparent and fair.Really every vote should be counted every time, even if it did not make a difference in the outcome. How would the really know accurate numbers for history if they do not count all the votes.

Sincerely,
xxx

I think I was going through email sending withdrawl since I have not sent one since the 6th and was sending so many a day.LOL

know the email burnout syndrome. Right now, I have the FAX machine burnout syndrome, but I'm going to take a break soon.
