1. Not a snowball's chance in hell
This president has a lapdog Congress. Nixon did not. I can promise everybody here that he will never even have to fear impeachment for the worst of offenses he might plan to committ.

That site is dangerous because it's going to get people's hopes up for something that wil never, ever, NEVER happen.

2. You are right.. Comparisons to Nixon are silly. Even the far left of
the early seventies was a more potent force than the Democratic party is today. The Democrats dominated Congress at that time.

12. Need a new model
If we are to fantasize, why assume a repeat of Nixon's fate, despite the many similarities.

I have a different fantasy. Days until Bush is executed after being tried and convicted by an international war crimes tribunal.

3. Pardon. But that's what I found disheartening about your post.
Actually, Bush has his hands full and so does Congress. And you know what rats do when ships are sinking.

Plus who needs impeachment. There's resignation, arrest for treason (that would be great television), and pretzels. So, please be more imaginative. :)

4. Indeed. Impeachment may be unlikely but I think it is VERY likely Bush
will go down one way or another.

16. There was another psychic cited on one of these threads a few weeks ago
and that psychic said that by the beginning of 2006, Bush 'would have no connection to power at all.' That psychic referred to some serious health problems for Bush coming up real soon.

19. Prediction
Sounds like good news - except that leaves Cheney in charge. And Rove is still around.

6. Curse of presidents elected in a year ending in zero
Since Lincon, or before, all of the presidents who were elected in a year ending in a zero have died in office, the only exception was Regan, but he was shot.

13. Prediction: Bush'll crack all on his own. Resign for health reasons.
He barely made it through the election, holding on by his fingernails right now. I doubt it will take two years.
The meds barely keeping him in line have nasty side effects. It's not going to be pretty.
Because of the yes-men echo chamber they won't have prepared for it, Cheney will have to take over. He won't be able to handle it either, what with all the civil suits, and will resign shortly after.
So, who will be Cheney's VP? Ordinarily I'd say Jebbie-boy, but I think Dubbie-boy will hold on so long and crack so publicly it will ruin Jeb and any future Bush's chance. The family will be ruined politically for generations.
Sorry Babs, the God's have severe penalties for hubris.

10. It will happen if we reform elections by 2006
In enough states to get Democratic control of the House at least. Democratic control of the Senate could ONLY happen if the truth about Bush and Cheney's relation to 9/11 came out...I know quite a bit about the psychology of these thinnly-populated "Red States" that have undue prominence in the Senate, and 9/11 Truth would have to get around to enough people before 2006 for that change to come. Which is not impossible...if the 9/11 cover-up really cracked wide open in New York City, you'd be surprised how fast the word would spread through the already government-distrusting West...and it's really something that's in the back of quite a few peoples minds already.

Impeachment can and should happen, to really bring these criminals to jusice. But we would have to make a lot of grassroots progress before we could put in a Congress in 2006 that would do it.

that ** won't last past 2006. I don't know by what means he'll be taken down, but he's going to fall and fall hard.
