This is my 1,000 post I feel HOPE in my heart

Dear fellow DUers,

This is my 1,000 post . I had never been very active in politics until
recently. After 911, I woke up and realized something was wrong in
our country. I started learning and listening.

Finding DU took me from an outsider learning about politics to a
person who has become more active in it. I feel honored to be part
of this movement and DU.

Politics begins with the people . So how did our country end up
in the hands of lunatics , liars , and thieves, who preach of god
and morals and yet start unjust wars? I have come to learn so
much of it is the marketing and packaging of "snake oil".

I am someone who believes that truth will prevail over deception .
Today is a new beginning for the people, I will wait and see
with HOPE that the rumors are true and its fact that we have at
least one honorable senator willing to stand for truth .
Perhaps there will be more. Today is the day were the voice
of the people will rise above business as usual in Washington.

Thanks to all who have put your blood sweet in tears
into helping to create change. Your work is
becoming more fruitful everyday.

Friends tell me" so it was stolen there is nothing you can do about it
get over it" Today is the day I can tell them that they are wrong.
I will not get over democracy.

I watched democracy work here at DU with my own eyes.
I watched a group of people stand up for truth.
Its a beautiful thing to be part of.
