early new year's ramble anybody out there

i come to this group on new years morning like the rest of you

and know that the cause for which everyone works so hard is just

my sister just lost a race for district court judge and at the election

gathering of supporters a lawyer talked of growing up and the way votes were

bought with half pints of alcohol pass the ballot out the window to insure acc.

he knew that times had changed and things were more honest ?

in 1965 all individuals reguardless of race were given the right vote
i was 9

at 48 i ask not why because i realize those in power have made a concerted
effort to make it difficult for lower income and minority groups to vote

i figure not more than a few people kow what's going on
the guy in wv who reported one vote for bush wasn't right either
and it goes on

i told my father i was going to protest for voter's rights in dc and
walk with the 51ers he'll be looking to see if i get on tv

he was inspired at my enthusiam at what i had learned in my research
(thanks du)

his most resounding statement in that he saw that the cause is just
and being a wise ol' f**T he said that unless there is real proof
you will not motivate the people

my only hope is that after 2000 someone had the foresight and resolve
to catch them this time

if a senator objects the networks will break in and i will be there

i'll have a turtle on the back of my orange cap
i'm an artist and proud of it

i know that everyone here walks in the lightest light

a thousand points of light
one of those confuse the issue statements by senior full circle

i wish each of u godspeed in the new year

your work is noble and we will prevail

keep your vibrations positive and we will attractive positive

remember there's a little bit of you in everybody else
and a little bit of everyone else in you

1. next to of course god america i
"next to of course god america i
love you land of the pilgrims' and so forth oh
say can you see by the dawn's early my
country tis of centuries come and go
and are no more what of it we should worry
in every language even deafanddumb
thy sons acclaim your glorious name by gorry
by jingo by gee by gosh by gum
why talk of beauty what could be more beaut-
iful than these heroic happy dead
who rushed like lions to the roaring slaughter
they did not stop to think they died instead
then shall the voice of liberty be mute?"

He spoke. And drank rapidly a glass of water
