I don't have any original screen shots to contribute - wish I did. But I am curious about something with the current numbers. I can understand why some add to 99% instead of 100% - rounding issues and they didn't want to show 51.4% to 48.6% so they show 51% to 48% even though it would be proper to show it as 51% to 49%. Also what is up with 99% for Males? It can't be a case of 51.5% of Males voted for Bush and 47.5% of Males voted for Kerry. Does that mean that there were 1% of men who didn't want to say if they voted for Kerry or Bush? If so, why would they be included in the total number polled?
If it is rounding, why do some of the responses only add up to 98%, 97% or 96%?
Such as:
Vote by Religion
None - 10% of those Polled 29% Bush 69% Kerry 98%
Vote by Church Attendance
Never - 14% of those Polled 35% Bush 63% Kerry 98%
When did you decide who to vote for?
Last Month 11% of those Polled 36% Bush 61% Kerry 97%
Most Important Issue?
Education 5% of those Polled 32% Bush 66% Kerry 98%
Vote by Community Size
Big Cities 6% of those Polled 53% Bush 43% Kerry 96%
Vote by Region
Central Ohio 20% of those Polled 58% Bush 40% Kerry 98%
Just curious as to why these exit poll numbers don't add up in all directions.... Is it still a rounding issue?
