Hate Strategically
Give yourself some time over the next couple of days to do laundry, clean up, have a little downtime.

Then start hating what has happened, and use your anger as fuel to start local activism.

Use your anger to keep you going as you work on local initiatives, as you brave the elections office in your county to talk to them, as you write your LTTEs, as you plan your strategic efforts, as you band together with local friends and activists, as you plan rallies, as you found left-leaning clubs, as you freewayblog, as you plan nonviolent protests, as you write songs and pen plays and attend boring committee meetings and plan fundraisers.

Hate longterm: Take some time off from your hate to take care of your life, do yoga, eat right, hang out with friends... for a day or two.

Then SHARPEN YOUR HATE AGAIN... host a liberal houseparty and watch some progressive DVDs about Shrub.

Your hate will be a burning feeling in your stomach. Your hate will be the thing that gets you up off your couch. Your hate will be a best friend that will get you energized and moving and thinking and reading and taking this country back from the grassroots, from the bottom up.

Watch Network: "We're MAD AS HELL AND WE'RE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!"

Use your hate. Make it your tool. And above all, when you are ready, TAKE ACTION.

1. I agree in principle, but I'm a little tired right now.
Tired of fighting for stupid, clueless, idiotic people who turn around and vote for their own Armageddon and who are too dense to see Shrub for what he is when it's as plain as day, who are too stupid to realize that this was the point of no return and that, because of them, we're really in for it now domestically and internationally. But no, when they're finally thrown into the "re-education camps", guess who they're going to blame? That's right, liberals, progressives and Dems, the very people who are fighting so hard to prevent that from happening! Right now, I say FUCK THEM ALL! They deserve what they're going to get. Unfortunately, the rest of us will get what those fuckheads voted for as well. I'm tired, tired, tired. FUCK THEM ALL!

2. hey, I said take a break first, eh?
I'm certainly going to take some time off.

Before I go to the "inaugural" and egg Shrub's car.

5. LOL!
Don't do that, you'll end up dying in Gitmo! I wonder how many of us will be in Gitmo before this is all over.

I will take a break, definitely, but I've been fighting since Raygun was elected when I was fifteen, and I mean it when I say I'm tired and tired of stupid, clueless, idiots who vote for their own Armageddon. It's going to take a long time to get up any energy again. Right now, I feel that if people are stupid enough to vote for fascism and their own country's destruction, fuck them. I'm tired of it.

3. Very well put
We all need a few days to rightly feel our rage, our hurt, our mourning. After that, we really need to look around, gather the great number of people who do see the light, and move forward.

Dented spirits. Not broken.

4. thats exactly how I'm feeling
I need a couple of days to run around like a headless chicken, crying and screaming and catching up on laundry and vacuuming. Then I'm good to go, in the fight to win back this country.

7. I am not talking about hating individuals.
Or even certain groups. There are good people (some) within the Republican party (don't flame me!)

I am talking about using your hatred, anger, upsetness, etc as ENERGY. Something to get you up off the couch. Gawd knows I need it.
