Time to shut up and get to work on 2006
I'm not a huge fan of Kerry right now and I'm not a huge fan of half of America right now, but they'll come around the hard way. When they do, no I told you so's. Just let them joing the good fight.

Let's start the war room up. We've got 2 years to fight to regain the house and senate, and hopefully put a freeze on the republican agenda.

What have we got to look at?

4. I'll second that
Everyone needs to take a deep breath, go home, get some rest, have a drink or whatever it takes and get ready to gear up and get up. I know that a lot of people here are weary, tired, depressed, exasperated and pissed off...but, at least 48% of the people who cared said NO to Bushco and the RW fascists. The party has to be rebuilt from the ground up. We have to do something about this BBV nonsense. We have to elect legislators, Governors and congress people in 2006.

Never surrender!

5. Since it is my opinion that Bush as served his purpose
it is a matter of time before GW is revealed to have a debilitating illness paving the way for BIG DICK to step in. So I am looking for actions we can take to proactively welcome Dickey to the helm.

I will send 12 pounds of pork chops, gravy on the side, how about you?

7. Good points
We have to work on more powerful election laws and we have to work on the senate and house seats.

I'm guessing every senate seat that wasnt up last night is up in 2006, am I right?

8. 2006: Let's eject Romney
I think we need to concentrate on certain offices. In Massachusetts and the Northeast, we must get Romney out of office so that he cannot undermine the liberal institutions of the state... and gay marriage.

9. I say let them trash this country.
I have no love left for America right now. None. I can't call myself American with pride. Let them totally fuck up this country. Let them take the bread out of the Fundamentalist's mouths until they are eating the very parchment of their precious holy book and are 'tractored' out of their homes by the wealthy looking to make another dollar.

Let the republicans prove that their philosophies are disastrous once and for all. Why should we have to clean up their mess, especially when Kerry would be blamed for it after four years anyway.

10. Races to be ready for
Indiana – Luger is up for re-election. If he runs, he’s a shoe-in, but he’ll be 76, so be thinking of a possible candidate.
Massachusetts- If Kennedy retires, the Dems better get a good replacement lined up so we don’t lose it to Weld or Romney.
West Virginia – If Byrd retires, the Dems will need a solid candidate in this right-leaning state.
Maine- Snowe is up for re-election, and a conservative could challenge her in the primaries. If so, we’ll need a solid candidate ready.
Mississippi- Lott’s up for re-election. Apparently, the Mississippi AG Mike Moore is pretty tough and may run against him/
Pennsylvania- Santorum. WE NEED to win this one. Maybe Gov Rendell could step up? Ed seems like a good guy.
Missouri- Talent’s a freshman, moderate state, room for an upset.
Nevada- Ensign’s up for re-election. Nevada almost went for Kerry, this should be looked into.
Ohio- DeWine is very moderate, but vulnerable. Rep. Ted Strickland is from southeast Ohio (red area), so he could appeal to rural voters, plus he’s tough, smart, a good speaker and progressive. I think he could run for president though, so maybe Columbus Mayor Coleman or Rep Brown.
Rhode Island- Chafee’s up for re-election, who knows if he’ll even run as a republican. He might run as a dem, or not at all. Keep out eyes on this one.
Tennessee- If Frist doesn’t run, Harold Ford could try for it, and have a good chance.
Texas - Hutchinson might run for Governor, so this seat would be open. Maybe Ron Kirk could run again.
Virginia- George Allen. NeoCon, get Mark Warner after this guy. This would be a HUGE win, and possible.

13. Frist
I think they're prepping Billy for a run at the WH in 2008. He's risen so far so fast. Cheney will be replaced. He's hated by too many people. Lott got screwed by his GOP brethren. They wanted someone with the same agenda but who could appear moderate. I think the GOP is going to pour money into the TN gov race in 2006 so they can defeat Bredesen(a Democrat). That way Frist can resign as senator and the new GOP gov can appoint a new repug for his seat.

12. The only way America is going to understand is through suffering.
America needs a healthy dose of suffering. America needs to know what it's like to really suffer. Then maybe they'll learn.
