1. Everybody in in my circle of friends went out to vote
including 4 who are completely apolitical and voted Kerry for fear of a draft.

2. I know
NOBODY who stayed home. My son is 23. He voted last Thursday. Of course, he interns in Tammy Baldwin's legislative office, so I guess I'd be shocked if he didn't vote.

My daughter is 20, and typically couldn't care less about politics, but, of course, her mommy has spent the past year drilling into her head how much these decisions (and rights) mean to her. She got several friends to vote, as well. Yesterday, when I was working the polls, I even processed the absentee ballot of one of her friends who is currently in Germany!

3. Two kids in that age group and
their friends all excited and voted for John Kerry. I don't believe that the young people didn't show up.

4. i didn't
I'm 23, I proudly voted early in the morning for John Kerry. Unfortunately in my small kansas county, I was one of 550 people to vote for Kerry compared to about 2100 for Bush.
I go to college in another couty with a population of about 25,000. Only around 11,000 people voted in that county, a very sorry turnout, considering. Around here, some of the young people were fired up about the elections, others just didn't get it, and then others were raised to remain true to the republican party. I know out here in rural kansas, not many young people voted.
when will my age group learn that they can't sit back and let others (whose interests are different than theirs) represent them and make the choice for them
