It was a good show, filled with cuts at bush... He starts with a story about the military prosecuting soldiers for stealing stuff, had 1 of them on... after the soldier told his side, that they took parts from trucks being sent back (but trucks from another unit) and added them to their equipment. They took the gear back into battle, and they got a dishonorable discharge! Then KO ad a General on to talk of this, and he said it was common to scavenge like that... and its never been a problem. Assuming the soldiers side is accurate the general thinks its completely uncalled for to punish these soldiers... and then he goes further to say it is the top brass that is causing this! I liked it :)
He talked about the medals bush gave and pointed out that all were involved in Iraq, and all entering civilian life.... he figures it harder for them to speak ill of bush after he gave you a medal... he even called them "consolation prizes"... He says Tenet was the slam dunk guy on Iraq WMD's... WRONG.. and Bremmer ran the postwar government and was quoted as saying they didn't send enough troops, and Gen. Franks who was quoted saying he had the wrong units on the ground. So these guys get medals? KO had a nice undertone to this obvious stunt!
He also addressed the recount in the Washington State governors race, talking how the results might go dems way with the "found" ballots, unless its blocked... stay tuned he said
Then he talked about Ohio (yea).. The point he shed light on was Blackwell final sent a reply to Conyers 36 point issues. KO point out that in the reply Blackwell answered none of the 36 counts. Blackwell claims that the congressman has no right to file claim while a GAO investigation is underway.... there is no such rule KO points out. .... Its never enough coverage for me, but it was nice to see KO is hanging in there... I think his countdown format gives him that ability to mention things, if ever so brief.
There was more little stories... I feel I can watch him.. but my BS alarm is always set on hyper-sensitive... I think its stuck in that position for awhile.
In oddball 12.2% more deaths on 25th of Dec than average... so its the most dangerous day of the year!
* my first report, hows it read :)
