First Ohio results: Only 12,572 counted (UPDATED!!)
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 07:54 PM by VolcanoJen
The thread is being updated by DUers below. Keep your up-to-the minute info in this thread, and see if you can figure out which precincts are coming in early!

ALREADY it's close!

Bush: 6503 (51.73%)
Kerry: 6022 (47.90%

http://www.sos.state.oh.us/sos/extra/eleNight.htm

Issue 1 (Ban Gay Marriage)

Yes: 64.37%
No: 35.63%

It's sooooo early, but I'm surprised to see the Bush/Kerry race so tight, and the "Yes" to Issue One pulling ahead... can't bode well for Bush, if Issue 1 "yes" voters are still voting for Kerry...

1. What precinct?
That is just as important as the # of votes to each candidate. You get my drift.

2. I need some good news
Give me Kerry ahead by 1 or something. The only good news I have heard so far is Virginia is too close to call.

4. Blackwell is already throwing away Dem votes
Ohio will be stolen like Florida was, but this time they will not get away with it, and Kerry WILL get Ohio.

10. NBC reports exit poll data
New voters 13% of electorate - higer then national average
New voters breaking for kerry - 60/40

18-29 age - almost 60% voting for kerry, highest demo out of all of them. Bush only leads with 60+ demos.

13. Good work, Jen! I'm so proud of you!
Yes, Mothers are allowed to be proud of their daughters -- especially tonight and especially on DU.

You have worked so hard (where have I heard that before?) on this election; you registered 48 voters, did visibility events, worked the phone banks, explained issues, persuaded undecided voters, staffed our big rally in Dayton, etc., etc., etc.

You need a pat on the back

OK, that's enough -- I'll now keep my adulation to myself.
