5. I caught the show earlier
They got Pat Buchanan and 3 other rabidly right wing assholes together to talk about the dem party and M.Moore. They had a dem on the show but didn't let him speak much but he did get a few good shots in about election fraud and Bush hanging with bin laden's brother on 9/11.

What made me maddest of all was that pompous bitch Murty. Someone needs to remind her that she'd be barefoot and pregnant and have no right to vote if it wasn't for dems. She certainly wouldn't be sitting with her neocon pals on a talk show if they had their way. Back in the kitchen wench and make me a sammich! Ughhhh! Neocon women make me so ill.

She wouldn't even be in a kitchen --

She would be back in India getting ready to wed her pre-arranged hubby in a mass wedding ceremony and getting ready to return to OUR JOBS answering phones at AOLBombay -- and even then she might be doing better than we are -- at least they know how to set up a voting system in India --

13. Oh My Fucking God.
For every half-millisecond that gape-jawed moron prattled on about "Republican Hollywood," the Repugs lost 10 supporters.

I came away feeling generally this:

Dumber for having watched that. Also, my mouth felt smaller.

I'd like to "personally thank" Murty for greatly assisting the Democratic party. What a dipshit!

Wonder if her people allot her a budget for all that extra lipstick?

16. AOLBombay lol!
2 weeks after the election I cancelled aol. I had always kept them , even long after I switched to a cable modem, out of loyalty or maybe it was nostalga at the "old days" ten yrs ago when I joined. I was in a chatroom and got booted for supposedly violating their terms of service. Evidently the neocons in the room didn't like me saying things like:

"Be the first inbred neocon security mom on your block to have your boy come home in a box!"

"Bin laden was going to hit a red state next time but he couldn't find anything worth blowing up!"

"Feel the draft yet, suckers?"

Since it was an over 18 chat room I find it hard to believe anyone could feel "harassed" by what I was saying, but nevertheless I was booted by aol with a TOS warning on my screen and all my passwords were wiped out. When I called the lady said AOL did that because they thought my account had been hacked. I said they had no right to boot me for speaking my mind in an adult area and that she should read back specifically what I said that was against their rules. Well, I guess she starting reading some of it because she damn near died laughing right on the phone. Around that time it dawned on me she had a strange accent so I asked her where she lived and she said South Africa! So the 30 minutes I spent ranting to her about what a nazi police state this country had become were basically wasted.

To make a long story short(too late), I told her to connect me to billing because I was cancelling. I spent another hour chewing some guy from OK out about what shitheads repukes are, knowing full well hes not allowed to disagree with my views and hes not allowed to let me quit AOL. The end result was 3 months free service for me and 90 min of their phone support tied up. I just couldn't get over the censorship though and I called them back last week to rail at them again and tell them that they can take their service and shove it since nothing they provide cant be had for free somewhere else. Since my current month ends dec 11, that is the end of my relationship with the evil time/warner empire.

Remember when NAFTA was all the rage and we weren't supposed to worry about losing manufacturing jobs because we were "transitioning to a service economy"? Heckuva transition. Tech support to Bombay, complaints goto S.Africa, and some repuke in OK gets to handle my cancellation for minimum wage.

19. This is too funny! I got my neighbor off AOL. They never let you leave.
After he canceled (which took several tries), they had the balls to send him a letter thanking him for his renewal! Before the election, he couldn't believe how many bush supporters were in the chat rooms, etc. His home page is now Yahoo.

20. I cancelled AOL about 1 1/2 years ago
when I discovered how much offshoring they were doing with their tech support. The customer service guy I spoke to couldn't convince me otherwise, although he spent an hour trying. I told him that the companies that are offshoring American jobs (all jobs -- blue and white collar) were unpatriotic, and they were contributing to the downfall of the US economy.

I was subsequently sent an incentive to sign back up via mail. Didn't even look at it.

Also, for ANY tech support (PC, etc.), if I get a person not working in the US, I demand to speak to an American. I will not condone or make it easy on companies who ship our jobs offshore in favor of cheaper labor.

24. Exactly what I do. If I get BS and incentives in the mail, I look to see
if that company ships jobs overseas. I write on a piece of paper why the eff I won't give them my business to any economically treasonous, greedy asshat like them. I tell them I hope they suffer first and that I tell all my friends to boycott companies that do this. Then I send the piece of paper back in their return envelope!

These companies need to be called out for the greedy slimeballs that they are! Earthlink is another internet company that outsource jobs, so does Yahoo SBL!

22. WRT AOL
I'm about to cancel also. Been there ten years since the days of 2.95 an hour. I have a select group of friends there and one particular message board that I have been in since 94 where no one get's tos'eded because the board is practically off the radar, there's maybe 20 of us that post on it, all aol veterans also.

I heard yesterday that AOL is laying off 450 employees and that they have lost 600,000 customers this year.

Maybe it was those skewed election polls that had every state red up until Novemeber that many folks saw the light.

My god, did that ever feel good to see.

Who the HELL was that hideous woman with the shark smile? The more "dangerous" (read: near the truth) the discussion got, the more desperate and cloying that awful rictus grin of hers looked.

Did you hear their laughter? The way they were all so nervous? So quick to change the subject, back into waters that wouldn't offend any of their investors? The bloody MSM makes me so sick.

Never mind the drivel one had to sit through beforehand, watching those bible-thumpers defending King Falwell and his heinous ilk. I swear to the god I don't believe in, I got an ulcer in my mind just from seeing that.

It was worth it, though. What a hero.
Everyone e-mail Michael Rectenwald to tell him we've got his back: contactus@legitgov.org

Sorry if I seem overexcited. I waited up till 3 AM to see that, and my heart's still rushing from hearing the words "Diebold" and "Stolen" and "Lying" come out of the f%$kin' TV!

17. What an awful, revolting hag.
Seriously! I'm usually not one for violence, but that horrible mouth of hers seemed just the right size to be filled with a hammer. Eh? "A whole new movement of conservative filmmaking" my IMMORAL ENLIGHTENED ass. "Desperate Housewives" gets better ratings in Alabama and Kansas than it does in LA and New York. Filth will always sell to the lowest common denominator: her base. That horrible woman actually thinks she's going somewhere? Hah.

But I can see why she supports Repugs; with a mouth like that, she needs an ICBM to put on her lipstick; if Dems were in power, the contents of her purse would be banned!

18. My letter to Joe
Joe,

Thank you for having Dr. Michael Rechtenwald on tonight's Scarborough Country. He is a very authoritative spokesperson for the progressive movement, and I would eagerly tune into your show anytime you decide to have him back as a guest.

One comment I would like to add: I wish Dr. Rechtenwald had set the record straight on that overamplified version of the "Dean scream" speech. As I think you probably already know, ABC's Diane Sawyer made it clear that in the real setting no one could hear him over the roar of the crowd. ABC, NBC and Fox publicly apologized for showing the fraudulent version. Please tell MSNBC to stop showing that copy. The real videotape is on the Internet and they can use that if they insist on showing that particular speech.

If I were Dr. Dean I'd consider suing the networks for repeatedly showing me in a "false light".

Plus, I don't understand why the subject of the show was Michael Moore and whether or not "Democrats should dump him". Do progressive Democrats publicly discuss whom right-wing Republicans should "dump"? Like, RUSH LIMBAUGH or BILL O'REILLY? These people give "conservatives" a bad name. Sure, shows like Air America Radio may make fun of them, but they don't presume to decide for the Republican party whom should represent them.

This is insulting and, frankly, none of anyone's business.

Michael Moore is his own man and speaks for himself. He is not an official representative of ANY party. Ask him for yourself. He will tell you that he is just as critical as the Democratic party leadership as he is of the Republican party leadership. In fact, you could have pointed this out with the clip from Fahrenheit 9-11 showing the Democratic Black Caucus attempting and failing to get a single Democratic signature on their petition to halt the 2000 certification of the electoral college votes, while Al Gore himself presided over the session.

Perhaps your show should do the necessary homework before going off on tangents like this and conveying false impressions. Further, conflating Howard Dean with Michael Moore is like pairing Michael Bolton with Michael Stipe. Howard Dean is and always has been a "centrist" as he will gladly tell you himself. He is, in his words, "socially progressive and fiscally conservative." I am tired of conservative shows mischaracterizing this fine American statesman.
