3. That didn't work for the Germans
who didn't vote for Hitler. It didn't work for the Iraqis who weren't for Saddam. If you live in the same country with a power-mad tyrant, you get taken down with him.

It's too bad it's not easier to emigrate to Canada. My grandfather moved to Texas from there in 1922. Although I would find it hard to adjust to the colder climate, I wonder now if he made the right decision.

Interesting you mention the Hitler reference. We talked about the fundamentalist vote and how * has polarized the country w/ his wedge issues, etc. We're Jewish, and I told her how I'm really frightened how right-wing our country has become and I worry that we're going to lose our freedom to practice religion -- or no religion for that matter -- freely. She said my grandfather, who lost siblings in the Holocaust, theorized that this country would have its own Holocaust. I hope we don't get to that point and that it is just him being paranoid from what went through, but after this election... I think that's a bit extreme. Canada...looking pretty good right now.

6. Yep, here in Germany I'm hanging my head low...
So many people have been asking me all day about the election and are shocked!! I almost cried at my daughter's kindergarten today having to tell people * will still be president. It's a very gloomy day for the world.

8. I am so sorry....this country is in for a serious chain of events
the thoughts that came to mind were the "we haven't been attacked in the 3 years since 9/11" taunting them...

I told my mom I am glad I live in a blue state because the red ones that voted for * in droves are going to be sorry I think...

I am so disheartened..the pop vote kills me..the evangelicals got out there and our youth that will be sent to their deaths did not

9. I'm ashamed to live in VA, piece of shit state who didn't also didn't
vote for David Ashe, an Iraqi war hero who helped on 911 and ran a clean campaign. Instead, they chose a Republican real estate agent who smeared him. There IS no justice.
