Wouldn't Rove Like Us To Be Divided? and distracted
so wouldn't it be so very Rovian to create arguments over who's right and who's wrong, who we should and shouldn't trust.

divide and distract

Let's keep our eye on the election fraud

2. I think Rove is too busy buying a round table for cabinet meetings
That joke didn't work, did it.

Okay. Let's try:

I think Rove is too distracted with his plans to become warlord of Iran?

Better, don't you think?

4. Well Surely Rove has his fingers in a little of everything
and while he personally doesn't monitor DU (I wouldn't think)

I do think that he would be pleased as punch to see all the infighting going on about who's telling the truth, etc. etc.

and Rove would make a good Ayatollah don't ya think?

6. wouldn't it be so "democratic"
...to ignore any criticism about anything anyone in the Dem party does and accuse nay-sayers of being freepers to protect unity?

Do you know what being a liberal means? It means you are open-minded to change. You learn from your mistakes and move forward. You can't recognize those mistakes if you don't acknowledge, or at the very least, discuss them.

This argument IS about election fraud. Part of fighting the fight is seeing the cause stay on track, and part of staying on track is trying to get more coverage in the main stream media. That won't happen if our "leaders" act like loons.

7. Egads .....
Put the sword down .... It could very well be that some 'misunderstanding' is at play here ....

Imagine that: someone 'misunderstanding' something ...

The vitriol is uncalled for ...

Discussion: yes ....

Beheading: no ...

11. not beheading anyone
I've said before, I'm open to the fact there might be some misunderstandings at play. Doesn't change what we currently have. Olbermann saying "come on my show and show your proof" and Bev's over-zealous reaction.

9. Also silence on a matter makes it important
Edited on Thu Dec-02-04 12:35 PM by StClone
Rove uses distraction and also silence when operating scams.

How many are talking about oil as the main reason for the Iraq invasion? None or very few, when in fact it has the 2nd largest reserves and Iran is right there at number 3!

1. Saudi Arabia 261.7
2. Iraq 115.0
3. Iran 100.1
4. Kuwait 98.9
5. United Arab Emirates 63.0
6. Russia 58.8
7. Venezuela 53.1
8. Nigeria 32.0
9. Libya 30.0
10. China 23.7

Voter scam is not talked about by Republicans either. Notice that? They will not acknowledge it until BIG FACTS come forth. They were working on how to handle voter irregularities that hit main stream before the election and are watching now ready to spring their propaganda into action when needed.

12. I remember researching this a while back...
and I believe Afghanistan and Iraq are two of the countries with the largest amount of unrefined petroleum in the world.

13. It looks like that's his strategy
Edited on Thu Dec-02-04 12:38 PM by parkening
He's looking way beyond this election's fraud (the investigation of which, I believe, is a colossal waste of resources). We're going to be continually reacting rather than being on the offensive unless we can counter this:

"It's a good strategy: Hit the Democrats at their weak points and force them into a defensive crouch. Split them over controversial issues like abortion and gay marriage. Get them to defend the most unpopular incarnations of their interest groups. And so forth. Rove's strategy isn't designed to pass legislation that a majority of the country wants and is in the national interest. It's designed to destroy the competition, plain and simple.

If the Democrats play defense -- if they try to split the difference, if they are reactive, if they simply try to slow or modify whatever George W. Bush proposes -- they'll lose politically and, later, electorally, in 2006. So where's the counterattack?"

We need a powerful proactive strategy, folks! Any suggestions? We need to look way beyond this last election or we'll get whupped on again.
