War on Terror Versus YOUR Rights
For any Melbourne dwelling DUer's

THE SO-CALLED “war on terror” has led to an astonishing extension of the powers and authority of ASIO and other security agencies, and a corresponding decline in civil liberties. From Guantanamo Bay to Melbourne, hear how rights we’ve taken for granted for decades are being eroded.
Socialist Alliance and the Justice for Jack Thomas Campaign co-host a special meeting featuring DR TIM ANDERSON, who was framed and wrongfully jailed for many years over the 1978 bombing of the Sydney Hilton Hotel, and Jack Thomas’s brother LES THOMAS

7PM THURS JUNE 2
RMIT FUNCTION ROOM – BLDG 8, LVL 2

Next to the Kaleide Theatre, 360 Swanston Street, Melbourne

1. NSW has even tougher "anti-terrorist" measures
than the Federal Government.

Ian Cohen had a good piece on his website - it was pushed through
very late at night with hardly anyone in attendance, and received,
as far as I'm aware no publicity at all in the media.

I've been hoping to post a link, but his site has been under
construction for a couple of weeks, and I've been unable to find it
anywhere else in an accessible format.

This country really is creeping back into the fifties - it's scary.

2. Mate...
...I would love to attend, but unfortunately I most likely will be working and not able to attend. If I find out in time that I'm not working, or am able to swap a shift with someone I will attend.

Thanks for posting this.
