Sunday program next week: Kerry doco!
This is all second hand information to me, but I was told that next week on channel 9 Sunday show they are going to be showing a Kerry documentry! One that is from his days in Vietnam. Guys do you think this is gonna be the controversial one Sinclair is going to be showing over there?

1. It is not the same one.
the one on Sinclair is called 'Stolen Honour'. The one Sunday will show - in their own words

Butler's film, Going Upriver: The Long War of John Kerry, is a profile of Kerry, his generation and courageous dissent. It shows how Kerry went from being a decorated soldier in Vietnam to a leader of the anti-Vietnam War movement. The film, already acclaimed in the US as an inspiring portrait of a potential president, will be shown on Sunday four days before its official cinema release in Australia. A documentary not to be missed, next week on Sunday

Looks like it may be a positive portrayal.

2. g'day, cousins
I hadn't heard of this, but apparently it's out in theatres in the US this month. You can see a trailer at a link here:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0407263/trailers

We don't seem to be scheduled to see it on CBC / Newsworld. But tonight we're getting this (it's French-made):
http://www.cbc.ca/passionateeyesunday/feature_171004.html

"The World According to Bush"
If you're not yet having nightmares about the
world being in the hands of a circle of crazed
zealots, this should do it. The World
According to Bush, a two-hour documentary
about the inner-workings of the Bush
administration, will frighten even the most
hardened Washington-watchers. Fans and critics
of the acclaimed Fahrenheit 9/11 will want to
see this thoughtful and damning investigation
of the U.S. administration.

Last week was the hatchet job on Cheney:

I'm curious why we don't seem to be getting the Kerry flick up here. Probably because some parts of the US receive Cdn TV, and so showing it on the CBC could undermine theatre takings there.

3. they showed the world according to bush
over here about 6 weeks ago. I thought it was more cutting than F911.
The French producer didn't hold anything back.
