Postal vote fiasco admitted
THE Australian Electoral Commission has admitted it may have sent the wrong postal vote papers to hundreds of Queenslanders, raising fresh doubts about the outcome in the state's crucial sixth Senate spot.

Assistant Electoral Commissioner Brian Hallett said he "honestly did not know" if all or most of the papers sent to 1359 voters, after the Governor-General issued an unprecedented proclamation giving them until October 22 to vote, were for the NSW Senate ballot.

1. My parents were complaining...
They've done lots of postal voting before, but this time round the papers weren't sent out to them before they left on their holiday...
