Looks like our would-be home-grown Michele Bachmann is getting her come-uppance ...
... together with her creepy Fundamentalist puppet-masters.

This time, though, I do find myself what might be happening if the Tories HAD got a majority.

1. It's all very creepy indeed...

Speaking as someone who once thought I lived 3000 miles east of the danger that religious right-wingers could operate smear campaigns in my backyard against pro-choice politicians - and found out too late how very wrong I was - Nadine Dorries and her antics make my skin crawl. It's not even so much her being 'pro-life' as such. Decent people can disagree on such issues. It's her general all-round nastiness, including viciousness toward and lying about anyone who expresses disagreement with her; just read her blog! Or if you don't have time to take a shower afterwards, don't read her blog!

In particular, I love the hypocrisy of a Tory getting her knickers in a twist about the dangers of people getting health advice from people who might (allegedly) stand to make a profit - so can we assume that she will be voting against the entire NHS bill???? After all, one of the main points of this bloody bill is to make it easier for private organizations to get their fingers into healthcare! I haven't noticed her complaining about that!.

2. The nutty right-wing blogger who calls himself 'Archbishop Cranmer'
has a whole section on his blog entitled 'The Martyrdom of Nadine'! With a picture of her being burned at the stake! I am not kidding you.

7. "Archbishop Cranmer's" last Joan-of-Arc-alike was Katharine Birbalsingh.
Remember her fifteen minutes of fame a year ago?

She now has a blog in the Torygraph, by the way.

9. I know. But is a long way from being credible as the "real" voice of teachers ...
... that she was touted to be. Even on the right.

10. Good!
With regard to some of her (and others') articles, I am a bit sick of *all* misbehaviour by kids being attributed to an epidemic of 'fatherlessness'. Of course, it is best if kids do have full support from both parents -and I know how lucky I was to have a great father myself - but it seems so often used as a scapegoat for everything, especially things really related to poverty.

BTW, guess who is the latest person to be demonized on Mad Nad's blog- George Osborne!!! Well, I'll never object to a circular firing squad among the Tories.
