1. Fox news is...
... a fact free zone. It's only a surprise they spelled Call Me Dave's name right.

2. Pffft!
Proof that Faux News clearly live in cloud-cuckoo land. You'd be hard pushed to find anyone who echoes
Faux News sentiments regarding Cameron's handling of this matter.

Indeed the main polical point being made by some lefties was about Cameron & Co being on holiday when it all kicked off.

3. And taking three days to get back.
I wonder if Dave is thinking of taking up the fiddle?

4. Well, if decisive leadership means being off on your hols whenever anything goes wrong at home..
It did seem to work for Bush after all.

Wait till Cameron gets into some major scandal - then Fox News will be calling him a Democrat.

5. Yeah
Maybe they'll call for Boris Johnson to run against Dave in the Conservative presidential primaries in that case.

7. To make it really accurate...
... maybe Richard Littlejohn and Nick Griffin should go for the nomination as well.

Anyone who has lived through past UK riots knows that they usually quite literally burn themselves out within 4-5 days so Camerons 'decisive action' may simply be luck in delaying his return from his Hols until the disturbances were nearly over. In addition he appears to have ignored the simple truth that it was sheer police numbers not water cannon and baton rounds that ultimately were decisive. His government still seems to think cutting police manpower is feasible and that the shortfall can simply be made up by the law enforcement agencies using more aggressive force. IMHO this is not only a foolish thing to do but also extremely dangerous. For a start insufficient police numbers on Monday/Tuesday caused some communities to resort to self defence. This is very similar to what happened in Ulster at the very start of the Troubles and it soon descended into sectarian paramilitary violence which then blighted peoples lives for decades. The militarisation of policing in Northern Ireland also helped to entrench existing divisions between the authorities and other groups in society. Even Thatchers government in the 1980s was prepared to learn some lessons from the riots it faced and tried to deal with at least some of the issues which caused the disturbances. Cameron just does not seem to want to face up to the problems at all. I fear he is going to take us to a very bad place.
