BBC Question Time Last Night
Now come, I know you all watched it, what did you think who came across best, worst, in the middle.

I was sorry that both Howard & Blair got booed when they came on - I didn't start watching until half-way through Kennedy - but I consider that very bad form.

Kennedy seemed to entertain the audience & answer straight, the other two did the usual answering questions by giving party election broadcasts.

Any idea what the chap at the end was trying to say?

1. I didn't see it.
Planned to, but Mrs. Skin had problems at work and I met her in the pub afterwards to talk them through.

The ishoos which were being flagged on BBC News 24 this morning were that Howard had been for regime chance in Iraq whatever and that Charlie Kennedy had (Remember you heard it first on Radio Skin) ruled out a coalition with Labour in the event of a hung parliament.

What were the others?

BTW, I think we got Mrs. Skin's ishoos sorted.

3. I'm trying to remember what was raised -
nothing that's not been abput for a while.

Some people asking Howard about immigration, whether his family would have got in under Tory proposals.

One chap had a real go at Tony asking where the legislation to prevent top-up fees had gone. "We will no intorduce top up fees & have legislated to prevent them". He was good actually the questioner, really stuck it to him.

Someone got up at the end & started shouting about something while Jonathon? Dimbilby tried to finish the program.

Generally I think it showed pretty much the same as the Oborne program, that they are fighting over a tiny tussock in the middle of a football pitch.

2. Nope
Too busy watching Pandora's Box on another channel...

More truth in one minute of an Adam Curteis documentary than in an hour of Bliar and Howard and their apologists' smarming and oiling and slithering around.

4. I was dissapointed that they didnt debate, face to face
I thought Charles Kennedy came across very well, there was some nutter in the front row who kept yelling 'Micheal Howard is evil'.

Blair got a nasty surprise when he heard apparently for the first time that some clinics are refusing to take advanced bookings so that they can meet the 48 hour government targets.

5. Yeah that was good,
that's happened to me too. It's a pain in the arse.

This morning John Reid was saying it only happens in a few places. That's pretty good research to be able to find that out between, 10pm last night & 8am this morning.

6. I had an early night
Even if I had not had an early night, I would have probably watched "Supersize Me" instead. Did anything interesting happen?

7. Pretty much what you'd expect
As noted above, the "you can only book less than 48 hours in advance" point did surprise Blair.

8. Kennedy
Charles Kennedy definately came across as straight talking ( I saw all of his bit ), how I would imagine any decent person would speak. Howard, well it took me back to my student days. Once he had come out with the crap about going to war even if he knew there would be no WMD just for regime change ( Illegal ) I thought what a w*nker and went for a fag. Blair, he is good in that sort of situation. I can't stand the man anymore, but I'll give him the credit he is good at talking in that sort of situation. And know I have no idea what the chap was saying, but I bet he didn't get to say it after the program either!

9. I heard Kennedy
on Radio 4 this afternoon. Suspiciously, the first caller was someone with an Iraqi accent named (get this) Chalabi calling from Surrey (or somewhere like that). He launched into a full frontal attack on Kennedy for finding Bliar guilty and Saddam innocent.

I don't suppose Bliar mentioned the fact that yesterday was International Workers Day...two million workers are killed every year globally. But Bliar is more interested in the "aspirational" middle classes, of course.
