2. Circumstances prevent my attendance,
but I would love to take part in a good demo against the Tories. Make me feel 19 again.

and my union is not striking THIS time, though they've sent out a ballot about future strike action (I expect the majority will vote for it).

But definitely there in spirit!

5. Good turnout and atmosphere in Newcastle, despite the fact that someone forgot the PA system (sigh)
Regional TV coverage pretty loaded with BBC worse than ITV.

Both channels brought in a Tory to explain why the Unions should have withheld their action pending discussion (what bloody discussion?)

Obviously the days of studio debates are dead.
