Christopher Hitchens, drunk? Or insane?
I was listening to Night Waves on BBC Radio 3 just now, and Hitchens was talking about how meeting Mrs Thatcher gave him an erection (I'm not joking). I haven't felt this much nausea since that 'flu I had last December.

1. Both, probably.
Apparently everyone on the left loved him in the 80s.

Buggered if I can remember him.

2. She may not have been everyone's cup of tea...
... but no-one can be held responsible for who they fancy (assuming we leave children and animals out of the equation).

It's still pretty... disturbing, though.

5. I'm equally repulsed by Hitchens' part of the equation.

6. Good point.
It actually occured to me after I'd posted. What's more disturbing? The thought of someone fancying Mrs Thatcher, or Christopher Hitchens with an erection? One thing for sure, it's not a DVD that would fly off the shelves.
