Brown 'could stay as chancellor'
Tony Blair has hinted that Gordon Brown could remain as chancellor if Labour wins a third term in power.
"His record speaks for itself so you would want that record to continue, really," the prime minister told GMTV.

Mr Brown was one of Britain's best chancellors, he said, adding that they worked "pretty closely together" - despite media reports to the contrary.

The pair are due to give a joint campaign press conference later focusing on the economy.

I think Blair is having cold feet about removing Brown's responsibilites as Chancellor.
