PM plays into Bloc's hands
OTTAWA -- Any Canadian who watched the leaders' debates will understand why Stephen Harper thinks Paul Martin would like to see a separatist premier in Quebec.

Martin's finest moment in the debate came when he passionately invoked his commitment to the province where he raised his children, and the country he wants to lead.

The only problem is that his passion for Canada apparently only comes out in one language. He fought the separatists very well in English and remained largely silent in French.

Harper is right to challenge Martin. In cranking up the rhetoric, Martin is actually lending a hand to the very separatists he claims to oppose.
